Price has increased 50% in two years
Holy cow! I bought the exact same product 2 years ago for $20+ for the same quantity. Since then the price has increased $12. This time I will shop around!I will say the stuff works as intended.

This stuff works!
This product does the job! I had been able to more or less handle light algae problems (light green hue in the water) with the product "Leisure Time Algaecide". After a busy week and not paying attention to the hut tub, I opened it and found a mess. Green, smelly water. A real mess! Since I have to have water delivered and it's expensive, I attempted to rescue the water rather than drain it. Started with the Leisure Time product, it improved the situation a little bit but still not back to the blue, clean water. Then I decided to use this Spa Essentials product since I had it in my inventory anyway. Performed the super oxidation of 10 teaspoons (30 g) of this product for my 500 gal hot tub. Turned the jets on (without the air infusion!) and within an hour there was blue, sparkly and clean smelling water again!!! After this tremendously positive experience, this product will be my number one treatment going forward. I re-ordered it immediately and won't bother ordering the Leisure time product any more.

Works, but I get foam.
Keeps spa clean, but I'm getting foaming after using. I put some in a fountain I have and it foamed afterwards as well, so I know it's a result of this. It's not the nasty foam you get from people wearing lotions or oils in the hot tub, it's a soapy foam that diminishes after you turn of jets, so not a huge deal. I did buy some foam eliminator to deal with the issue though.

Use this first to establish a bromine base!
We use this product after we first fill our hot tub to establish a bromine base. Then we use a bromine tab floater to maintain the bromine level.

ALL WE USE
Happy not to have to purchase 5 different things, this stuff does the job without other chemicals. We always wait 24 hrs after using to get in and weve had no issue with smell or allergies. I have noticed that it is bleaching our soft tub color. I hope this doesnt effect the durability of spa....otherwise its so easy, affordable and has lasted 6 months so far.

Bromine or Bleach
We have an inflatable Coleman Lay-Z spa. When we first set it up, we used chlorine, but switched to bromine soon after. The chlorine was irritating our skin. I have read that bromine can be quite drying for your skin, but we have not noticed that, particularly. We do shower after using the hot tub. My sister was astonished that our swim suits had not faded, as hers do. I guess the bromine doesn't have that side effect. We're happier with the bromine, anyway, and found this product convenient and cost effective.
