This little contact controller is great for making music with objects that have an interesting resonance or surface texture. My favorite is using it on a watermelon, the taps sound and feel great and rubbing across the fruit produces a nice sustained notes.My favorite app is Mogees Keys – I use an aux cord to a speaker instead of headphones and I can jam with my buddies. I'm a professional musician, but an amateur can make this sound great as well. The parameters are awesome, many different sounds and the ability to slide between single notes and arpeggios gives this little device a lot of range.Mogees Pulse is also another favorite – it's like the old Audiosurf game with more user interaction. The playlists are great, it's got a lot of tracks that sounds that remind me of DDR. I see a lot of educational potential with this app – the ability to repeat songs and attain higher scores will train a student in rhythmic awareness and accuracy.The Maestro app is great and potentially useful as a educational tool – great to play along with a lot of standard musical rep. I am actually brushing up a bit on my classical repertoire knowledge with this device – and I'm HAVING FUN!Wonderful little devices that serves all skill levels and turns the world into your instrument!

Gave to my nephew. Fun for a few days but then he put it always and forgot about it. Just doesn't do as much as the next version up. If your looking for something like this spend the extra and get the next version up. It will get more long time use than this version. Not as excited about money to usability with this version. Still a good product even if it is a bit pricey for what you get.

I do not know if it's because I had the misfortune to come across a faulty copy or do they all work that way? Once connected to my iPad I can hardly turn up the volume that a shrill and incessant noise is heard. I repeat I am really disappointed. I was expecting so much from this product. I do not know if anyone can help me. In any case I have not found anything on the website of MOGEES PLAY, or elsewhere, which speaks of this problem. I strongly recommend this product to anyone who expects this to happen as videos!

I wish that the late December 2016 review has been up for me to read before ordering Mogees Play. Seeing that it was a contact mic I thought it would work like the Mogees Pro which is also a contact mic. Well, in a word it does however it will not function with the Mogees Pro software. I was after more that just playing games. The cost difference isn't just the look and construction, it provides a code to enable the special software that allows for more functions. I had not read the Mogees Pro product description to compare the two items and the Mogees Play doesn't make the difference evident on this site.Putting that aside, the product works well for what it does. After being disappointed by similar products with weaker algorithms in the past, I wasn't expecting much. Love the little case and the extra sticky pad.The pricing seems steep but in comparison to other digital musical devices that play in conjunction with an iPad it might not be so far off.

Not what we expected from matching video description.

This is a cool concept and all but it doesn't work for sh*t. Got this for my wife and after we both tried multiple times to get it to work we realized a) the commercials are EXTREMELY misleading as you can't hear it unless you have headphones attached and b) at least with the one we received you have to really whale on anything you stick it on for the vibration to register. Wouldn't even register connected to the side of a speaker with the bass on (and you KNOW that was vibrating lol)
