Shorter than expected but a lot here for the price
The pole could use an additional section for additional height. I am only 5'8 and it is almost too short to use on a real trek. It appears durable and has a lot of features.

Short, some features not functional
My biggest complaint is how short this pole is. It's less than 3-1/2-feet tall. It comes just above my hip (I'm 5'9"). It will be helpful on slopes, but I wish I had looked at the pics more carefully -- that's the only place that mentions their total length. Also, note that this is a single pole and not two hiking poles. My second biggest complaint is the spoon and fork. These are TINY. Do not plan on actually using these. Of course, when I'm hiking, I really don't need a fork and spoon. It just seems an unnecessary and unusable item thrown in to make it seem more useful than it is.One tip: be sure to screw in all the gadgets before you head out. Otherwise, they just rattle around inside the pole, which is very annoying. The lantern seems pretty bright. This is a really nice feature, especially if you're later than intended getting back. The different tips are handy. I just have to figure out where to store them for when I need to change them.Overall, this would make a great hiking pole for kids or shorter people. I may end up giving this to a vertically-challenged friend and getting a longer one for myself.

It's Okay
Overall, I feel this is a little too short for a walking stick. I'm not exactly tall and this thing barely comes up to my chest.Other than that, it's okay. Has some attachments that screw on easily enough. I didn't realize "tactical" meant it had some stuff with this, but it isn't bad by anymeans. Heck, the kinfe point you can screw off is actually pretty handy if you were to need it out on the trails. I'm 5'8" so if you're that or taller, you may want to avoid. It's durable and I think it would work well for what it's supposed to do if it were just a bit taller. Perhaps add a few more connection pieces into the kit so people can make it a bit taller?

Too short. Useless accessories.
The media could not be loaded. Sadly the included lantern was my favorite part of this. But more on that later. This is only 41 inches tall! I'm 5'4" and it feels way too short for me. The only way this MIGHT be useful is if I want the extra support while shopping or running errands in town. It can be slightly less conspicuous than my taller walking sticks. I haven't gotten an actual cane yet for my mobility issues so this might accomplish that purpose. And considering its look, I will feel slightly less like an invalid than I would if I was using a more typical looking cane.On to the accessories. The spoon and fork are an absolute joke. I am just going to toss those. The spoon especially feels particularly useless. It's annoying that the design and production teams actually went through with making those and presenting them as legitimately useful items. The only way they might be useful at all is if you are feeding a toddler and you don't mind using metal. (I am not recommending that at all.)The knife could actually be somewhat useful. It can at least strike the flint. One of the few things they did right with this is that any of the sections of the pole can attach to any of the accessories. So you can have a good grip on the knife and flint at the same time. The only other thing I really like about this is how much stronger the metal will be than carbon fiber. Even though the threads on each section aren't super great, it should still be pretty tough. I just REALLY wish it was taller. This is so short it is almost useless. Evan an inch or two shorter and I would have to give it zero stars.I am considering storing this all put together instead of in pieces in the bag. I know that defeats the purpose of it being able to come apart but here's why: since I am going to toss the fork and spoon and the only other accessories are the knife and "hook," there are multiple sections of the pole that are empty. I can get inventive and put actually useful items in those sections like matches and tinder. Or some fishhooks and line. Or some bandages and ointment. Each section is basically a tube as it is open on both ends. I think it would be easier to keep it all contained if it stays put together. It is important to note that the knife, spoon, and fork accessories can be secured to a section while the pole is put together and they actually won't rattle. (I got that part wrong in the video.) But while the pole is taken apart the utensils have to be loose in a section.Oh yeah, the video does a pretty good job of demonstrating how sad the whistle is, but I gotta say it here too: the whistle is really weak.I went back and checked the product description. The seller does not mention the whole assembled height of only 41 inches. They only say how long each section is. I admit to not doing the math ahead of time. And I also naively believed that a hiking pole would automatically come with enough height to make it actually usable as a hiking pole. So I have learned yet another thing to watch out for when it comes to being on the lookout for the less than straightforward descriptions.I'll try to make this useful as a cane. We'll see. But I have the feeling that the only way I can actually use this would be to buy two poles and steal a couple of sections from one to add on to the other. That seems unacceptable.
