Great!
I'm extremely pleased with my lockable gas cap! This simple yet effective device provides an added layer of security for my vehicle. It's easy to install and fits perfectly, giving me peace of mind knowing that my fuel is protected from potential theft or tampering. The convenience of having a lockable gas cap is definitely worth it, and I highly recommend it to fellow car owners.

Locking Gas Cap for 2005 GMC Yukon
Works great. With the cost of everything including gad going up ,it's a small price to pay to keep your gas from being siphoned by your neighbors

Lock didn’t work
I bought this to replace the OEM fuel cap of my 2006 Saab 9-3 which was had gone bad. I figured since gas prices are at an all time high, why not get one that locks? So I ordered this one and though it had a lock, the lock did not work at all and it functioned as a regular gas cap. It did fit and screw in all right. However, the design is very different from the original and the tether from the old OEM cap was too big to fit around this one which is smaller yet of a higher profile. Also, the engine light did not go away with this gas cap. Even after I reset it with my OBD, it came back. The lock not only didn’t function, but the keys for the lock looked janky and of poor quality. Even if the lock did work, it would be easy to pick.I ended up returning this and ordering an OEM cap elsewhere from Professional Parts of Sweden. That one, though it has no lock, fit perfectly in the tether and the engine light has cleared. Not recommended for a Saab NG 9-3. Maybe it will work better for another car, if you’re lucky enough not to get a faulty one like I did.

locking is not easy and intuitive for me. quality appears very good.
I had a learning curve on getting this locked. The quality looks excellent. I think it is me that needs to learn it. I suggest no having to open the gas cap for the first time during a blizzard. I'll take a closer look at what's going on with it also.

Fit hummer h2
I was worried about it fitting but it does fit well on my 2005 hummer h2. The lock is strange though it took me a second to figure out how to actually lock it but I figured it out eventually. Wish I had a hole on it I could clip it to my wire that holds my original gas cap while I pump my gas but it does the job. I’m still happy with it.

Might be nice if it worked. . .
I ordered this as well as the Motorad locking cap for my truck for comparison's sake. Well, the first Stant locking cap I received from Amazon did not actually lock. The locking mechanism was apparently broken. Now bear in mind that I had no trouble with the other locking cap AND I've had plenty of locking gas caps in the past, from various manufacturers, and never had any trouble with them, either. I can say that the key in this first one did, in fact, turn 90-degrees stop to stop, but it seemingly had no effect on the cap whatsoever. I tried this both with the cap on the fuel filler tube as well as by hand. It worked neither place, though it did fit my truck perfectly well.Of note, the "instructions" for the cap are actually printed on the cap itself, though strangely not on the box. It's a strange mechanism, but I suppose it works. To "lock" the cap, just put the cap on the filler tube and tighten until it clicks three times. No key necessary (a plus compared to most locking gas caps). At this point, the cap spins freely to the left (unscrew) but tightens if turned to the right, only to a point before it then clicks to release the tension. To unlock, insert the key, turn counterclockwise 1/4 turn and then back, remove the key and unscrew the cap.None of this, of course, worked on the first cap I received. So I asked Amazon to swap it out for me, and they did (quickly and painlessly, thanks Amazon!).The second cap worked as it is supposed to. The moral to this story is that quality control is critical, especially on a locking cap. This does, in fact, make me a little nervous about using this cap long term. We'll see.Anyway, this cap is going on a 2008 GMC Sierra Denali. Note that you MUST make sure you have the right cap for the application. One cap does not fit all. Amazon fitment guide did steer me to this cap and it fits just fine. This cap looks very similar to the stock GM cap except with a key mechanism in the top. The key is bare metal, which makes it slimmer, but also may scratch up the key fob (if you care about such things).Otherwise, this appears to be effective but nothing fancy. I'm not sure what it'd take to get a 5-star review (chrome? spinners? rhinestones?), but given the apparent dud I got the first go round, I'm not comfortable giving this one a 4-star review, either. Thus a 3-star review for a 3-star product.

The key only works in one direction
There are two problems with the key. it only works in one direction. So, you have to make sure how you enter the key in the lock. However, there is no sign on the lock. So, it's a matter of try and error every time.I winter, there has been times that I had hard time to push the key in the lock.
