Love this book!
I’ve made four items from this book so far, and they were all incredible! There are a ton of recipes I plan on making that sound good. Items taste great and didn’t have that “diety” look or taste (I know, I made up a word lol). Highly recommend

Lots of really great recipes
Whether you're pre-diabetic or just trying to eat healthier, this is a really great book. I'm trying to lose weight and have always stopped short of reaching my goal because I get bored with what most of us think of as "diet food". This book is really creative with the recipes and every single one I've tried has been great. Almost an Adkins type diet in my opinion, although I don't know if everyone would feel that way. Mostly very low carb and almost no sugar. Works for me; recipes are great and pounds are coming off too.

Easy recipes that taste great
This is a great book for me. I'm not a very good cook and am not attracted to recipes with a long list of ingredients and complicated instructions. Most of these recipes are simple and with a short list of ingredients I already have or normally purchase. There are a few staples I didn't have (stevia, flaxseed meal and protein powder), but since they show up in multiple recipes, my new staples get a lot of mileage. I've now made several things (mostly breakfasts to start with) and have loved every one of them.I think the key to starting a new basic diet is to focus on just one or two meals at first instead of trying to buy ingredients for multiple dishes at once. After looking through the book (pictures are truly worth a thousand words!), I've made a list of dishes to try and will gradually work my way through them all. I also love that each recipe shows nutritional information that includes protein grams -- I always look at that number first, as I've been given a daily target number of protein grams to aim for, so I have a goal for each meal. Calories next! This book is one of the most helpful purchases I've made in recent months.

Recipes tasty
Recipes do not require exotic ingredients. Nor are they time consuming. Perfect for this brand new pre diabetic

Not Just Another “Healthy Cookbook”
Don’t let the title fool you. Even if you’ve never heard the term pre-diabetes, Lauren Harris-Pincus’ latest offering will inspire you to get into the kitchen and whip up healthier fare. Of course breakfast offerings are extensive (she is also the author of The Protein Packed Breakfast Club) and she follows that with recipes that will satisfy you throughout the day: meals, snacks, dips, even “sweet” treats, all with the goal of marrying taste and health. And of course, the book begins with solid, trustworthy, evidence based information about pre-diabetes but the recommendations really translate to all of us.The recipes are accessible and achievable, no exotic hard-to-source ingredients, no esoteric techniques that only “foodies” will be able to attempt yet the recipes offer more than the mundane “grilled protein and steamed veg” that so many health centric cookbooks offer. Additionally, the recipes are beautifully photographed and convey the thought and consideration given to ingredients and preparation.I’m confident so many will find value (and delicious meals) in The Everything Easy Pre-Diabetes Cookbook. As a Registered Dietitian myself, I will be recommending Lauren’s book to clients and colleagues and I personally can’t wait to start preparing these recipes!
