Disappointing
My five-year old received Carddia's excellent set of country flag cards as a gift, and after months of playing with them was excited to learn that the company made other sets of cards. We purchased the space set and were surprised by these differences in quality between the two sets:1) The cardboard box used to contain the cards, unlike the box that came with the flag cards, is not really intended for use by young kids. It's not the same thick material as the county flag cards box, and is instead the flimsy material used for traditional playing cards.2) The set is missing one of the dwarf planets, Haumea, which bothered my son so much he drew his own card and is requesting we purchase a laminator.3) The cards themselves contain numerous errors, including comma splices and misspelling of "solar system."We'll think more carefully before buying another set of these expensive cards.

Not as nice as I had hoped
These cards were fairly sturdy. They are glossy and medium weight, and will last if they are not mistreated. The pictures are nice, though many of them look very similar to each other, which is only the nature of the contents, since they are primarily planets, asteroids and galaxies. I returned the set because of the many grammatical errors. For the price of $25, I didn't think it was worth it to have my kids reading through grammatical errors repeatedly. I know we all make grammatical mistakes, but there were so many of them on these cards; I couldn't understand why there weren't proofread before being printed. Now I am hesitant to try any more sets from this company.

Dissapointing
Frankly, for the price.. this is a very disappointing purchase. The quality is just okay, the pictures are not SHARP quality that you would expect in this day and age. The card stock is okay, but not great. There are spelling errors.. I got these for my 6 year old who loves space objects, and the container box is NOT meant for easy opening. I tried so hard to open the box gently so we can return them if needed (as with everything I buy), but after struggling for 5-7 minutes I gave up trying to pull the tabs out from the box and ended up having to rip it open. Which really sucks, because I don't feel right returning them.. so we are $25.99 out, and not very impressed. Really bummed.

Quality Solar System Globe and Base
The globe with the solar system in it is heavy, solid and without blemishes, as far as I can tell. The touch switch on the base is easy to use, unlike those of some similar products. The planets have their names by them and are easily readable IF the globe is turned correctly toward you. Looking down on it from the top makes the names unreadable. However, turning it so that the edge of the rings faces you, the names are easily readable. I am happy that I ordered this for my grandson for Christmas. He loves all things related to space and to the solar system in particular. The colors on the light base can be set to rotate through the colors, or you can choose an individual color. The blue is my favorite, and it is much lighter than in the photo shown in the ad. Clear is one of the choices which is a good one for reading the names.

Great for classroom use.
I needed cards of objects inside and outside the solar system for my 7th grade science class and these were perfect! They are a little expensive for what you get but in the end well worth the purchase. I appreciated the sturdy, laminated finish. I bought six packs!
