Windows XP Reinstall Recovery Repair Reset SP3 CD RecoveryEssence Disk

Works well. I couldn't get the computer to load Windows XP, even in safe mode. It just kept cycling through the boot up after a flash of the first Windows screen. I even had to use a USB DVD player to boot this DVD from - set in BIOS. I was trying a restore, because I did not want to lose my data, even if it was put in a saved directory. I also could not lose my installed programs and settings. After rebooting from this twice I got a message to run SFC (System File Checker). I did. THAT solved the problem. Must have been a corrupted system file or file table. Wish this disk had a option to do that directly. Now going to back up data and programs and get a new computer!

My old XP Dell desktop blue screens very often so I bought this to reinstall Windows XP.I just follow the seller's instructions to install, very easy. Even has the drivers.My hard drive has some bad sector on it, often hears some loud clicking noise, freezes when copying stuff.so I replaced the hard drive with a new blank WD 7200 RPM hard drive before I reinstall XP.Finally got rid of whatever causing my computer's crash, now I am happy.

It worked very smoothly it was a very simple process they give you two different options to for resetting it which worked well and now my gateway laptop works with Windows XP I am very happy. The reason why I needed the CD in the first place was because the computer I had kept resetting everything but that was no problem with this disk came in the mail earlier than they said it would it worked well and I can use it more than once I totally recommend using this if you need to reset XP on a computer if yours

It worked as discribed.You have to run through the prompts then when it wants you to do it again take out the dvd,turn off your pc.put some other dvd in,then it prompts to put other back in as it has prompted it will now instal in 36 mi.but you have to put your info in name etc.as prompted.once its done installing the sps .xp os it will then shut down an then start over.thats when you take out the dvd.an shut down then restart an you have your xp pro installed.I never needed my KEY.This is what I did on my gsteway 400vtx 2002 model.

I have xp I bought new with cds in 2001. the pc had sat in my closet a long time . I had also bought picture it and publishing sofa ware . all legal and from Microsoft . I rebooted my xp and called in the legal code . to be told by a nice computer voice it was not legal .and was a boot leg copy .. really but thy honored it for year. so I order this cd in hopes it would help. but I think I do not know how to get through the install . it did not just start as stated . that's why the 4 stars . so it should have worked but for me it did not.

the hard drive i bought this product for was mechanically dead, so never got an option to see how it worked. from what i was able to use, it looked easy to use and was on the right track to fixing my issue, but the drive died. if you are reading this, i think if its not a mechanical issue like mine that you are working with, go ahead and try this.

Glad I got this for my Windows XP desk top as there is no more Microsoft support for this version of Windows.
