Denon DHT-S216 Soundbar with DTS Virtual:X and Bluetooth

I am using Yamaha SR B20A - Built in Woofer soundbar and ordered this Denon DHT S216 for another TV setup.Denon DHT S216 have better clarity in mid and vocals compare to Yamaha SR B20A but the bass feel slight lower as Yamaha B20A have better bass while listening music.So both are very good 2.2 built in woofer Soundbars in this price range (15-18k)Overall rating forDenon S216- 8.5/10Yamaha SR B20A - 8/10

A little hard to get around the controls but once you configure the preffered audio the sound quality is undoubtly powerfully loud.Using it via the PS5 via a Sony 4k Arc mode 3D audio is enormously broad and loud with the Dts enabled. Directional sound is also quite clear and funDts is the biggest take away without it the sound appear quite flat and narrow

This sound bar sounds great - wide sound stage, low to no distortion at high volume (I haven't turned it up loud enough to see how loud it goes) and as someone who hates mumbled dialogue in movies and TV shows, the speech enhancer works pretty well too.If your TV supports ARC and CEC, setup is a breeze. One HDMI cable connects to the TV, and it turns on and off with the TV and can controlled with the TV remote. Bluetooth setup is quick and easy.One thing that is worth doing is checking out the full user manual on Denon's website. There are a number of helpful functions not covered in the included manual that addresses some of the complaints mentioned in other reviews. For one, you can set it to instant start up from standby, which shortens the boot time from 15-20 seconds to 2-3 seconds at the trade off of consuming more power. Another is allowing bluetooth devices to wake the device on connection - when used with the fast boot mode I just mentioned, you can connect your phone and start streaming music in a few seconds even if the soundbar is 'off'.It may not have wifi or built in Alexa/Google Assistant support but it does have an Aux input, which I've used to connect a turntable which only has phono output. Most soundbars don't seem to have an aux input so this was a major selling point for me. All in all, would definitely recommend.

Needed to find something to replace a Samsung + sub unit that was pretty old and stating to fail in many areas other than just sound. After a few days of exhaustive research of reviews I landed on this as I've heard decent Denon products in the past, but this doesn't represent the original Denon.Sound isn't that bad for a unit without a sub and bass is present and as good as was expected. The remote (like all remotes now it seems) is awful. Why on earth nobody back lights these things anymore is beyond me; add it as an OPTION and I'll buy it!Pros- acceptable sound- nice profile that easy sits under TV- looks goodCons- too expensive for what you get- remote- pause between switching setting is ridiculous- "night mode" is completely useless. There is no sensible algorithm being used to determine compression threshold and the mode does not attenuate dramatic rise in level, i.e. any loud action scene as well as it should.- Dialog Enhancer settings do not make dialog "crystal clear"

Se você procura uma SoundBar que seja excelente. Pode escolher essa. Som excelente, qualidade, potência, graves encorpados, acabamento, enfim, tudo excelente. Só peca em uma coisa: o volume não fica no status bar, e sim o input. Fora isso, superou todas as minhas expectativas e muito! Vale o investimento. Denon muito acima das outras. Muito muito.

I had been so frustrated with the insane different levels between background/voice/action/commercials. This sound bar is fantastic to level things out and actually hear the dialogue.The remote control totally sucks, barely works, have to point at very strange angles and click many times to get something happening. (tried changing the batteries 3 times).

Very underrated sound bar. Sounds great and has a lot of bass without additional subwoofer. I tried a few before I settled on this one. Sonos, Bose, Sony, etc. This is the best, especially for the price. Hooked to my Sony XBR950H.
