I love the form factor, but with a few problems (revised - no more problems!)
This is a really neat little docking station. It's not as big as it looked in the pictures (which is good) and it is very stable on my desk. My old docking station was tall and narrow and often tipped over from the weight of the cables. This one does not. Everything except the audio cable pugs into the back, so it's very neat. Also, the included power supply is more than adequate to power my LG Gram. Just one USB-C cable to the computer, and everything works.Or, almost everything. The two USB 2.0 ports on the docking station stop working after the computer wakes up from it's sleep state. The vendor was responsive when I told them about the problem, but ultimately, they did not have a solution. I am working around the problem by plugging my wireless keyboard and mouse dongle directly into the laptop, but it should work in the docking port, and the fact that it does not is disappointing.Update - Nov. 20, 2021After seeing my review, the company reached out to me and offered to provide a replacement dock, at no charge to me. I accepted and received the replacement a few days later. It is now set up and working perfectly. All ports work, even after waking up from sleep mode.I very much appreciate the support I got from the company. They went above and beyond to make sur that I was happy with their product. This is a great little docking solution for me, and now that it works as great as it looks. I'm very happy.

works well, great support
I am using this to support a Lenovo T490, i7 8th gen. I use about half of the USB ports on this unit, one of the HDMI ports (to a DVI monitor), the VGA port, and the sound output. It all work correctly.I did have one issue initially, which was due mostly to ignorance on my part: I thought I could use any ol' USB C cable to connect to the laptop. Wrong. When I did that, neither of the video outputs worked correctly, but when I switched to the very thick and apparently power-and-video-capable cables that came with the unit, everything worked correctly. I have since swapped out the 18" power cable they provided for a six-footer-- albeit, again, one appropriately rated to support 100W pass-through charging.During my initial misadventure with the inferior laptop cable, I went to their site in search of driver updates. They had a tagline: "Because the question we can't answer is the question we don't hear." So I sent them an email. I subsequently got two follow-ups through Amazon's messaging service.

Does not charge Surface Pro 8 at full power
I just purchased a Surface Pro 8 and was excited to get this dock to connect all of my peripherals. Once I connected everything and plugged into the Surface, I received a pop up with a messaging stating, "Slow charger" and "To speed up charging, use the charger that came with the device". I thought maybe I have something on the dock pulling too much power, so I removed everything and just connected the Surface. The slow charger message still appears. If I use the PD charger that came with the Tobenone dock and connect it directly to the Surface, then it charges at normal speed. So something with the dock is causing it to not fully output enough power for the Surface Pro 8. Photos of the message and how I have it connected are attached.I have reached out to Tobenone support and will wait to see what they have to say. It's just after the holidays, so comms are expected to be delayed. I will update my review if anything changes.Update 1/20/2022: Still not working on a Surface Pro 8. I did try on my Surface Laptop 3 and it seems to be charging, but I can't tell if it's slow charging or not. The message about slow charging isn't showing on the laptop, so I'm updating from 2 stars to 3 stars. Still not working for the primary reason I purchased it though.Update 1/21/2022: I've been using it on my Surface Laptop 3 now with only a single 1080p monitor connected and I get some flickering on the monitor. The monitor will also not wake up with the laptop without power cycling the monitor. I did not have this problem with my Surface Dock when I was using it for my monitor connection. Unfortunately, I'm using the my Surface Dock on my Surface Pro 8 since the Tobenone dock will not charge it at full power. Their support did contact me and offered to provide $10 to put towards a more powerful PD input, but (1) I'm not sure that will even fix the problem, and (2) that really isn't going to make a dent in the cost of something like a 100W PD charger. Appreciate them trying to make it right, but I think my best bet is to work through it until I can find something else. Bumping back to 2 stars.

Outstanding Value!
I upgraded my dock over the weekend and am really happy with this one. I plugged everything in and it all just worked, plain and simple. What I liked most about this upgrade is that the power brick supplies power to both the dock AND your laptop. On my old one I had to plug in my original adapter and pass the power through. So you're sending two power supplies through the dock. Most appear to be like that. This one just needs one. And this is a big deal when you look at all the equipment plugged into your power strip. On top of that, there were six USBs (my old one had 4) and a card reader (don't really use that but nice to know it's there).By "plugged everything" I mean:- USB C to laptop- USB C to power brick- 2 HDMI to 2 27" monitors- 1 USB to webcam- 1 USB to a wire trackball- 1 USB to a wireless mouse and keyboard- 1 USB to power a mini soundbar- 1 USB to a qi charger (for my phone)- 1 USB for my Bose speaker dock- 1 mini jack for audio to the mini soundbarThe build appears to be solid like my old one. So I expect this should last long.So far so good. I highly recommend this dock.

Great docking station with sleek appearance!
I have used quite a few docking stations in the past. It seems like they are a necessity now when working on one screen isn't enough and turns my laptop to the closest it can get to a desktop. This docking station was a great improvement over my previous one. This provides several USB connectors, enough for a keyboard, printer, scanner/copier, webcam, external hard drive and any other peripherals you may need, with a total of 7 ports. The USB 3.0 and Type-C are a welcomed additional to this station. The SD card slot is great to for transferring photos from my DSLR camera. Utilizing different monitors between HDMI and VGA is great and works seamless with my laptop. My computer had no issues whatsoever detecting/identifying the monitors and I was extending the display within moments of plugging in the output. The 3.5mm audio jack is also a great addition to experience the surround speakers I have but to provide the more immersive experience when gaming. The biggest thing I like about this docking station is how the majority of the cable connections are in the back of the unit. I absolutely hate seeing cables and cable management can be a nightmare, but this provides the ability to cleanly hide all them, while still allowing for the few USB connections in the front that are less permanent. All in all, this is the best docking station that I have had and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great docking station.
