Excellent
We have this food auto shipped every few weeks. This is the only non prescription food that only has rabbit! This is very important to me because my cat is allergic to other proteins. There can be some variations in the color and size of the food pieces. This has not had an impact on how well it absorbs water or whether or not my cat eats it.I do have to send the food through the blender after I add water to it which is a little annoying. I think that says more about my cat’s preferences than the food tho.

Cat loves it. Rabbit, duck, chicken-all of it.
Cat loves this rabbit flavor food rehydrated with water or split in halves as snacks. Size of dry nugget is like a small fingertip and crush up to a soft texture with a fork when you rehydrate them in a little water. My cat likes 6 or 7 nuggets rehydrated for breakfast plus he nibbles on his dry food available plus he’s got his water. He likes another food brand too so he eats a wet can plus dry food food alternating diet.

Attention Cat People: THIS!
My cat isn’t typically picky- we found him as a kitten in a Disneyland parking lot, so he’s kind of a laid back, carefree guy who will eat almost anything (he loves turkey legs and churros, but that’s not sustainable). The problem is, nothing excited him, food-wise. He always seemed to be intensely bored with both his kibble and his wet food lol. The only thing that ever interested him was when we opened of a can of tuna, and we know that’s not good for him.Getting home from In n Out the other day, I watched as my cat strolled over to his bowl, maintaining eye contact with me the entire time (maybe glancing at the bag in my hand for emphasis), and the look on his face very clearly said, “In n Out? Seriously? But for me this kibble stuff AGAIN? What. Ever.”So I decided to look for something that would give him some food joy, and $10 was definitely not too much to spend in my quest.SHOCKING results. Like you know when you order something weird on Amazon and you can imagine both the best and the worst possible outcomes? This was the best possible- plus a rainbow and a unicorn. My cat LOVES this food. He is sitting outside of my bedroom door right now staring at me, something he hasn’t done a lot since he was young (don’t miss it that much tbh), waiting for his breakfast. He also follows me to the kitchen, tries to redirect me if I get distracted, and puts both paws up on the cupboard door and talks to me when he knows I’m rehydrating the chicken. I obviously can’t be certain, but I think what he’s saying is, “It’s about time! Real food! thank you thank you thank you! I love you so much!”Is this magic? Totally worth $10!We put a few in water and let them sit for a minute, then use a fork to break them up to a consistency that looks a lot like cooked ground turkey. If there’s extra water, my cat thinks it’s gravy, and he laps that up, which is also good for hydration. No smell!I believe some people felt the price was too high, but we only use 3 or 4 of the nuggets for our huge beast of a cat. Once re-hydrated, we mix it with his kibble to help slow down his eating (because he was totally scarfing this stuff at first). The $10 bag has lasted a week, and there’s plenty left. This is one of those purchases I felt obligated to write a review for, because the world is a really stupid place, and we all need to stick together and share the genuinely good (not being paid to say that, I have no stake in this), just really good, stuff :) :)

My five cats love the beef!
My cats love the beef flavor!!!! My cats also love the chicken but the turkey, not so much. I haven’t bought the other flavors yet. I wish this wasn’t so pricey as my cats love it. I do hydrate it but it took about 3 minutes to make sure it had soak the water like a sponge as I wanted my 5 cats to get all the liquids they need as they are on an all wet food diet. It’s also great crushing it with my hand and sprinkling it on top or mixing it on their wet food. One of my cats even drinks the leftover “broth” that it creates after they are all the soaked up the pieces. When I give them the pieces, I find that it’s easier for them to eat it when you cut it in half with a fork. I included a photo comparing its size to the treats. Once moistened, it doesn’t change in size but it does get softer. It’s easier to cut it in half when it’s a bit dampened by the water. I will get more but only with a discount as this is very pricey. I wished I bought more when it was on a discount but I don’t know how much they would like it. I also store it in plastic containers as my cats can smell it from the original bags that it comes in and they try to bite the bag to get through the food.

Bought this for my senior cat, she loves it!!
My senior cat needs to gain weight, and I bought this hoping it would help supplement her diet and increase her appetite. It smells very fishy, almost like the fish flakes that aquarium fish eat. However, she loves it!! As soon as I opened the bag she immediately ran over and was trying to eat these just as the dehydrated cubes.

Cats love them
My cats absolutely love these treats! It’s a good idea to break them in half or thirds though, to prevent choking. You don’t want to feed a whole one to your cat! ….I kinda feel bad for the rabbit though…
