Makes the Sequoia feel much roomier
Love it. Worked great with my 1st Gen Sequoia. I did have to extent a couple of the straps that hook into the wheel wells as they were too short for my Sequoia.

Quality stitching. Sturdy fabric. Zippers look like they'll last. Great instructions sewn into nice carry bag. Easy assy. Whole thing very well thought out

Came with used poles
This review is going to cover both the Napier Sportz Cove 61500 and the experience purchasing it from Amazon. It is well made and a great idea, with some issues. First, I purchased this for my Scion xb 2006. The listing says both sizes fit my car, but they assume the newer body model. The 2006 is more square, so even the larger one is a very tight fit from the hatch top to the bumper bottom. I can't open the hatch all the way with it attached to the bumper bottom, so I have to slip it up the bumper quite a bit. Since the bumper is plastic, magnets wont help but putting them along the sides may keep it in place. I'm glad I bought the larger one - the small one will definitely not fit the 2006 first gen xb.The hooks to attach to the wheels are large and bulky and dont fit into the spaces around my hubcaps. I will have to attach another s-hook to this hook to attach them. Having hubcaps is a problem and the style of hubcap will also make a difference. I'll probably just remove the hubcaps.I like the fabric a lot - just like a tent, and the screen material is great - small insects wont get through and with the pole pulling it tight the wind still comes through. It's impossible to neatly fold, but it doesn't matter because the carrying case has a zipper so its easy to pack.Because my hatch opens up fairly parallel to the ground, the window faces down a bit, not out onto the horizon. This also means it tilts away from the car further and from inside the car I can't reach the zippers for the screen or privacy screen. I found I can hold on to the seat belt with one hand and lean way out into the tent to reach the zippers. Its awkward but works when I don't want to get out of the car to access the zippers.I don't have a roof rack but it comes with longer strap attachments to hook onto the hood. Instructions say to open the hood to attach them, but that seems really awkward too. Because my hood is really short, I hook them to the closed hood at the car front. I don't quite understand why there is elastic on this strap as it seems to give a less secure hold but it works.Unfortunately, it came with a used, dirty, scratched tent pole. Strangely, the whole tent was tightly packaged, nice and neat from the manufacturer, with the poles in their own padded sack wrapped inside. They even had foam pieces on the ends to protect them inside the padded sack.I contacted Napier, who told me because I purchased it from Amazon, they could do nothing about the used tent pole. Apparently, Amazon is now keeping inventory in their own warehouses, and therefore the company selling the product has no responsibility to their Amazon customers. And, apparently, Amazon has varying degrees of customer service depending on the product. Some products give you access to customer service, some allow you exchanges, and some only allow complete returns. I'd like to keep the tent, but would like new poles. My only option is to return it and purchase it again -- but I doubt the replacement would be any different. With other products I've tried to purchase directly from the company, and if I had done that with Napier they would replace the pole. However, I've also gotten stuck with a $40 shipping return fee when purchasing directly from a company, instead of the free Amazon shipping. So there is no easy solution. That is why I am writing this review. Hopefully it will help other make an informed decision.Regardless, I look forward to using the tent because it makes my little car seem so much more roomy!

So Far So Good
I'll update this review once I've used this product more, but I wanted to review the fit for now. I have a 2017 Ford Edge and originally ordered the Small-Medium size. It was too small and I had to return it. The Medium-Large fits great. The zippers all work smoothly and seem high quality. It's easy to install and take down. I read some reviews that mentioned getting a larger carry bag to make it easier to put away, but I had no problem getting everything back in the bag it came with. I am using magnet strips on top of the "ruffle" along the sides to hold it tighter to the car. I haven't used the awning tie-downs or experienced it with rain or wind. Again, I'll come back and update my review later.

Camping is fun again!
Updated after a 2021 summer trip:We love this even more after we camped for a week in the Black Hills of SD. A VERY large storm front came through one night with heavy wind, thunder, lightening, and several significant downpours. Our SUV tent never batted an eye, so to speak. The canopy frame never moved and it stayed very well sealed with no leaks. The part that goes around the bumper was quite full of rainwater but it was easy enough to just loosen it and dump it out. It was so nice not to worry about having a wet tent floor after such a heavy storm. We are looking forward to our next trip!Original review: We took our Napier Cove out on it's maiden voyage this weekend and really like it. It took some time to put it together, hence the 4 stars for assembly, but it gets 5 stars in all other categories. Taking it down was great, and took about 10 minutes, including rolling it up to fit back in the bag. I'm sure we will get the hang of it as we use it more.We have a Kia Sorrento, and the Cove fits on it great. Because we don't have a roof rack, we did a modification so the long straps wouldn't have to hook into the hinge of the hood, which is what is suggested by the manufacturer. We got two 300# fishing magnets (from Amazon) and put them on the roof of the car. Then we clinched up the long straps and put the hook into the loop on the magnet and it worked like a charm. Make sure to put something underneath the magnet so it doesn't peel up the car paint. The overhang is just right for 2 camp chairs to fit under it, so if it had rained a little we would have stayed dry.It was really nice to sleep up off the ground! There had been heavy rain the night before we arrived at our camp site and if we had been in a tent, we would have been in awful mud, so this SUV tent serves its purpose just fine!

3 years on, still going strong
Realized I never wrote a review for this product, which I have used extensively for 3 years. Just this past camping trip I had to patch one tiny little hole. This thing is a game changer for camping. Once you know where everything needs to go, this can be completely set up in under 10 minutes. I've done it in the dark with no problem. It lets plenty of air into the car while also keeping it insulated and warm. Keeps rain out. I adore this thing and I'm thinking of buying a backup just in case it gets discontinued! If you want to car camp, this is definitely the way to do it.
