Purchased to replace an old security light with bulb which had started to become unreliable at 20 years old.This light was good value, easy to install with approximately 1 metre cable which connected to existing wiring. It is very bright, lighting an approximately 8 metre parking area and with a sensor having a good range.The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the short stem between light and sensor. This meant that if the light pointed slightly down it was not possible for the sensor to point horizontally. The situation was better when the sensor was turned 180 degrees but could have been improved with a longer stem.

The item is a 35w LED floodlight.It arrived promptly and was well packed in a cardboard box. It came with instructions that were OK but in fact fitting it and wiring up is so easy, they were not really required. The connecting cable was approximately 24" long which was fine for my set up. The detector has controls for distance of detection, light/darkness and time on. These are a bit hit and miss but I got it right first time for my property. If you dont get it spot on first time it is easy to turn the knobs until you do. Once connected and switched on the light sets itself up and that is it.To summarize, good light, easy to fit and a really good price.

A very good value PIR light if you intend to mount it on a wall, with the bracket arms horizontally. But if, like me, you want to mount it on a tripod of the type used for site lamps, you'll be frustrated. If the bracket is mounted with the arms vertically (with the screw holes directly underneath the lamp housing) then there isn't enough clearance for tilting both the lamp and the PIR sensor into the desired position.

Extra comments after a week:Sadly, this started malfunctioning after a few days. It seemed to be on even when there was nothing to trigger it and it was set to 45 second sensor operation. I went to check it this morning and it was still on in broad daylight, the remote would not switch it off, and half the LEDs were not illuminated.Original review: I assumed it would come on as soon as I wired it up, or that it would come on when I pushed the daytime mode button, but there was no sign of life, so I feared it was broken. However, I decided to see if it worked once it was dark and this did the trick. I'm not sure how the daytime mode is meant to work, but as I don't want it to come on in the day (now I know it works) this isn't a problem.The range of detection seems very big. It is very handy to be able to turn it off using the remote and to change the other settings without having to climb a ladder and twiddle knobs. This is a major step forward in the design of floodlights. I bought this one because it was the only one that had remote control and also had a 2 year guarantee.The instruction sheet is well written in proper English, rather than the normal cryptic crossword approach to instructions.As long as it lasts well, I'm very impressed.

Easy enough to install. I used a waterproof connector and electric cable bought from Screwfix so I could connect to a plug rather than mess about with the mains. Works a treat and lights up really well

Great security light , the remote is very responsive , you can adjust all the settings, brightness , area , so on and so forth , well pleased .

Great light, motion detection is good, long length of cable supplied with this light, Added bonus is the remote so you don't have to mess with the settings underneath the sensor.

Decent 35 watt PIR LED light, when it worked. First half the LED's failed, then a month later all failed. Wouldn't purchase another.
