Genius
Who ever invented this tent is a genius. I have always loved the idea of camping, but hated the idea of sleeping on the ground where the creepy crawlies live. I never would have purchased an RV or Pop Up camper, so I wouldn't have ever gone camping if it weren't for this invention. This tent turned my SUV into a small camper, but at a fraction of the cost.Turns out that where we camped in Tybee Island, GA, there were fire ants all over the campground, but they didn't bother us one bit, we were above all of that.Set up was a breeze, took maybe 2 minutes. One person could do easily, but with two it goes faster. Just open bag and find end of beige part of tent, slip over the roof of your SUV, then open hatch. Bungee to underside of your SUV and you are finished! Note that in our case we had to unscrew the antenna for the car radio as it was in the way on the roof and we also had to pull a fuse in dash to disable the interior dome lights. Very easy to do, and I am a non mechanical girl. Message me if you want to know more.We have a Kia Sorento and this tent fits really well. We did Bungee under the back doors and shut the doors on the bungee cord. The second cord we bungeed to the back wheels. That's the nice thing about the design, it can fit a range of SUV's.We also bought the Coleman string of lantern lights and tied those up across the back with the additional ties the tent has. Instant camper! In our SUV, an IKEA futon mattress fit perfectly, so we slept very well, it was so comfortable. I would also recommend a battery operated fan if camping during hot weather. We were happy we had one.Happy camping!

Fits great on my Tacoma, perfect for a weekend trip
Wasn’t sure if this would fit on my Tacoma with camper shell but it’s perfect. Very easy to put on, took less than 10 minutes. I parked with rear end a little elevated which helped rain shed off toward the front. Used a bungee to keep the rear window level. I have roof rack which made a peak Ed roof that also shed rain well. I’ll probably sew on a reinforcement patch where the ends of the rack lie to prevent rips. Also had a fair amount of wind but no problems with it staying on. This little tent made the difference in being able to camp comfortably in my otherwise too short truck bed, for a very reasonable price.

Good for Fair Weather Camping
I really wanted to like this product. It was easy to use and to put on and off. It was easy for my kids to go through without any issues. The cons: When light wind blew through, the bottom of the tent came up and kept coming off. The sides like someone mentioned had air pockets. I put magnets on it but you either need lots of magnets or stronger long magnets. Once dropped, it's hard to find especially in the dark. I used a paper fold back clip too but it didn't hold up very well. The part that really made me want to take it back is the rod that came with it. It was too long. So every time I put it on the car, it would pop up and I'd have to force it a certain way. It was also going to rain and I feel like the top part isn't long enough. If I was keeping this, I'd poke a hole at the bottom to have 1 more hook hold the bottom of my rear vehicle so it doesn't blow. And I would have to put a tarp over it to make sure it doesn't rain or leak in over the door. I wasn't confident with the top so I parked under my pop up tent since it was going to rain where I was going.Bonus tip: it was dropping to 40 degrees at night and it was cold on the first night. The second night, I got a wooden stick long enough to go over as a bar and hug my pic nick blanket. We were nice and cozy.

Not a perfect fit but will still be used
It’s a great extension tent to add to your vehicle for car camping. It’s sturdy and a great price. The setup is simple. However it’s not a perfect pair for a 2016 Jeep Renegade. First my vehicle antenna is on the rear roof just a few inches from the tailgate. To make sure the antenna does not poke through the tent you have to leave it exposed. So the top of the tent does not cross the roof completely. My tailgate is also not shaped like other tailgates in size so the edges I fear may poke the tent. The elastic bottom also does not wrap underneath the bumper. With all of those the tent does not tighten and there is no seal around the sides and bottom. I will make due with it however as there are not many options. I will bug spray the sides and buy “off” hip fans to hang in those areas to keep the bugs away. If I figure out any tricks I add to my review.Edit: Did a trial run and sprayed the sides of the tent with bug spray. This kept the bugs out for the most part. Still trying to figure out how to keep the tent secured under tailgate but that will come after next trial run. I also put the tent over my antenna this time and it did not poke a hole.Edit 2: End of season review. We placed the tent over antenna every time and it never poked a hole in the tent. I would say that means the material is great quality. Still have not been able to get a snug fit on the sides but this did not create a bug issue and we did use bug repellent hung in those areas just to make sure. I was able to snug the bottom section under the bumper but that means the tailgate is not completely opened above. So it is not an actual fit for my vehicle. I also tried different places to latch the tent on and have not found one that is snug enough. With all that said we used it on our cross country road trip from New York to Arizona from Arizona back to New York traveling through 11 states and it was effective to save money. We were off the ground and stayed dry so that is why it still gets 4 stars. It was also used on several local camping trips and was a big hit with people and I offered the same review and recommended it for a simple cost effective way to get off the ground, stay dry and turn your vehicle in to a sleeper.
