PalmGuard - MacBook Air 11 (99MO012208)

Thanks! ***I got this palm guard for my new Macbook Air 11", which I'd been saving for for a long time. So I'm very concerned with keeping it clean and scratch free. First I'll say, this is definitely a perfect match to the color and finish of the Macbook Air. Once it's applied, it's totally undetectable! The only way anyone would notice it's on, is a tiny "Moshi" logo printed in a medium gray font on the lower right corner. I love the way it blends in.The material itself has a decent weight to it, no too thick, but not flimsy either. I get the sense that it will be rather durable, and so I expect it to last a while. Also, the sticky side of it is very tacky, which is good because you don't want it to get unstuck with use, or the glue to break down from the warmth of either the laptop or your hands.There are a few tiny reasons I'm leaving off 1 star here: 1 - There aren't a lot of instructions on how to install it. The text printed inside are super basic, so when I was applying it, I wasn't sure how it would come out. But with a little patience and steady hand, it goes on without much difficulty. It was just hard for me to get it aligned and centered perfectly. 2 - Track Pad Part: The measurements aren't EXACTLY matching up with the Macbook Air, but amazingly close. On the small rectangle piece that goes over the track pad, there's a tiny bit of a gap in the width, probably less than 1 millimeter, from left to right, so I had to apply that carefully. What I really noticed was that the rounded corners are slightly cut TOO round, as in, if they were the edge of a circle, the circle is too big, so the rounded edges don't "fill" all the way to the rounded corners of the track pad. A tiny bit is visible on 1 corner. So the center piece's corners should actually be slightly sharper/more pointy. 3 - Palm area part: Also the larger palm piece is just slightly shorter in width too, but maybe that's on purpose so that it is not too large and hanging off the edges. I did my best to center it, but in the end, mine is more tightly lined up to the left edge of the laptop, and so on the right side, there's literally just 1 millimeter of the laptop visible underneath the guard. Same thing near that cutout part where you place your thumb to open the laptop, the cut of the guard leaves a sliver of the Macbook Air visible.Now let's be honest, I admit, all those tiny 1-millimeter-or-less-variances are probably TOTALLY reasonable for the average person! I just happen to be a real perfectionist, so I tend to notice these things :)All in all, I say this is a must have, and for me, I feel MUCH more comfortable using my Macbook Air now, knowing that it's protected and I don't have to tiptoe when I use it. It's definitely worth the cost, so I say invest in it. Thanks for reading, hope this helps!

I ordered this to go on my Macbook Air 11". My previous MBA was the victim of a liquid spill, and so when I got this one, I took some suggested advice and got a keyboard cover. While I was looking at those, this came up under related products. Partly to get the free shipping, I ordered the PalmGuard as well.The PalmGuard is fine, although that was never a big concern of mine. It's hardly noticeable, and I had no trouble installing it. If I saw an air bubble, I could pick up the corner and peel back until I got to that spot, then lay it down again, and there was no bubble. The trackpad cover also installed easily enough, although I had some difficulty getting it off the backing, so there's a small crease in the corner of mine, but that was my fault and not Moshi's.As others have noted, the trackpad cover is not great. I have no trouble with two-finger scrolling, but it doesn't always register a single- or double-tap. Sometimes it seems to improve on usage, I don't know if it warms up or what. I will start using the computer, and the tapping is iffy, but after a few minutes, the tapping is more reliable. Clicks always work, but like others I have my trackpad set to accept taps, and it can be frustrating to tap and have nothing happen. I'm leaving the trackpad cover on to see if I can get used to it; I did pay for it, after all. I'm not sure whether it'll stay, though.

I have never used a keyboard cover before and was skeptical I would like it, but I ordered this and I love it. I was surprised, frankly, at how slim it is. It looks like it is not even there and I barely can feel the difference. It is different... You know it is there, don't get me wrong... The keys are a bit softer, etc. But a I don't think you can avoid that with a cover of any kind. That said, I really really like it. As a first time keyboard cover owner, I highly recommend this product. For reference, my computer is an 11-inch MacBook Air - new as of two weeks ago.

This is my second one of these, and I will never again buy a Mac laptop without getting one of these for it. I didn't get one for my very first Mac (back when they were called Powerbooks and had the Power PC chip), and my wrists started wearing away the finish on the laptop fairly quickly, leaving random black patches. These guards apply easily, stay put without peeling corners, and are barely noticeable. If you are like me and try to sell your old Mac laptop when you buy another one, this is a really inexpensive way to keep up the value by keeping the laptop looking almost like new in terms of aesthetics.

Its really great in protecting the surface of your MacBook air but I don't understand why it is so expensive. It's just a sticker.

This product is easy to install, looks good, and seems like it will do its job. It is basically a sticker, as noted by another poster, but it is thick enough to provide protection, has a nice feel to it (not that different from the feel of the MBA's body itself), and seems like it will not leave a residue when eventually removed. The trackpad guard reduces sensitivity/responsiveness a little, but not drastically. Comes in two pieces - one piece palmguard, and one piece trackpad guard.

Easy to install, perfect protection what more can I say? The only minor problem I have with it is the air bubbles that form when putting onthe touchpad, but that's normal and occurs everywhere. So don't be afraid to spend a little moreo n this one; it's a good buy. Protects your mac for the years to come. I plan on keeping my baby in great condition for as long as I can.

Package arrived on time. Was very happy with the delivery and the product. I have not reviewed the computer after taken the Moshi Palm guard off yet, so I don't know if it is worth all 5 stars.I'd give a 3 star review for the seller ALB computers though, because I send an email asking about their Moshi Clearguard product and to this day have not received any reply back. If you know what you want and have no questions, this is the seller for you. If you look for customer service, look elsewhere.

2013年に購入したMacBook Airに貼り付けました。見た目も純正品の出来栄えで、本来の美しさを損ないません。貼り付けも、容易です。ただ、残念なのは、マルチパッドのタッピングだけ反応が鈍りました。私はタップを使う派なのですが、かなり強くタップしないと反応しないです。指を滑らす動きには問題無しです。貼り付けの問題かと思い、擦ってしっかり貼りましたが改善しませんでした。結局、パッド部シールは剥がしました。iPhone用の保護シールくらいの感度が出るシール、発売して欲しいです。

Macbook Air 11インチの2012年モデル本体への傷防止目的で購入しました。実際に貼り付けてみると本体の色と同じような色なので違和感がほとんどなく、貼り付けも簡単でした。冬はMacbook Air本体が冷たく、使っているときに手が冷たくなってしまうのですが、この商品を貼り付けるとそれがかなり緩和されました。トラックパッドに貼り付けるので感度が落ちてしまわないか心配でしたが、若干感度が落ちたかな？と思うときも希にありますがこの商品のせいで落ちたと確信に至ったことはありません。私はMacbook Airを買ってから数日で貼り付けたので違いに気付かないだけかもしれません。価格が少し高めなのが欠点だと思います。

ボディーに似た色のシールなので貼っても違和感ありません。アルミボディーも通常使用で磨耗し黒ずみなどもでてきますので、この保護シールは絶対オススメです。トラックパッドの感度もよく、腕時計や貴金属類を装着しながらでも気軽に使用できます。

色、素材感も良く、自然な感じで貼付けることが出来て、MacBook Airのデザインを損ねることがない商品です。これまでにこの手の商品を利用したことがないので、他の商品との比較は出来ませんが、MacBook Airのデザインにピッタリでお気に入りです。
