I’ve not had my Dyson V10 that long. Suction was always decent and I’ve not noticed any loss. The only downside is when the filters start to build up dust, the whole thing gives up til it’s cleaned or replaced. Cleaning is a pain because you have to rinse the filters out and they have to be 100% bone dry before replacing them or this could break the vacuum permanently.I was aware that these filters are frequently returned according to Amazon but despite this I took the chance. Very pleased I did. The filter snaps into place with what feels like a slightly more snug fit than the genuine one. This is not a problem however it screws in very easily.What’s very interesting is the difference in noise levels and overall performance. In short, the v10 now has much stronger suction, I’d go as far as to say double what it was, all the while being slightly quieter. With the old filter my v10 did literally sound like a jet engine especially on high power. Not only is it quieter but I don’t think I even need higher power anymore. Ran around all the carpets and it managed to fill its drum all over again even though I did the floors yesterday and there’s been nearly nobody in the house. High power now means I need to really push the thing along to get it to move it’s that strong.For v10 owners I can definitely recommend.

My Dyson had lost its suction and I didn't know what the reason was. I was washing my filters regularly and they seemed clean enough but the vaccum performance kept getting worse. I decided to change the filter and it's worked wonders. The vaccum cleaner works as well as it did when it was new. This was an excellent replacement for my current filter. It fits well and looks basically the same. Now I know the importance of a filter, I am glad I have a backup ready and waiting, thanks to there being 2 in the pack.

If you own a Dyson V10 cordless then you need these. You know that already. The Dyson comes with one filter which clogs itself on a regular basis then refuses to allow the unit to work. Then you get frustrated and wash out the filter, which takes three to four years to dry out completely. In the meantime dust builds up sufficiently so that when you reinstall the dried OEM filter, it immediately clogs itself back up with accumulated dust and the cycle continues.Solve the problem. Buy these.Honestly, we have found these to be superior to the OEM filter in terms of suction and longevity. They look pretty much identical and are very easy to swap over. As you get two of these in the pack, you will never be short of a filter again, the dust won't build up and your Dyson will function perfectly until the battery dies. Three and a half minutes then...
