Pretty cool to have but range is not that great over RF.
Unsure if it's my antennas or what but this device had to be close to my tv antenna to get a decent picture. Found an old black and white tv with no coax port and wanted to play with running my own tv channel. I connected my RG35xx to a cheap hdmi to av adapter, then plugged the av side into the RF modulator, tuned my tv and voila. Channel was off by one but again that could be my tv, so if you dont get a pic look at nearby channels. There's a RF pot tweak you can adjust to fine tune the RF signal. It does work over RF, no need for coax, maybe invest in good antennas, possibly a powered one for this device so it would produce a strong output signal. Plugged my Xbox Series S thru the HDMI adapter and connected it to the RF modulator and was able to play games.

It worked
I had a wireless audio video transmitter which I bought for about 90 bucks and used for an AV device in the bedroom to cast in the kitchen. Unfortunately, it stopped working! I realized I had a coax cable going from the bedroom to the kitchen (behind the walls), so I used this to hook it up and voila.

Is susceptible to ground loops and spurious signals
I used this to make a video signal for a small portable TV. The unit works perfect video-wise, but it does suffer from ground loop issues on the audio side. You get a very prominent 60Hz hum on the audio channels if you have this connected to the same ground as your audio source. It also has some minor spurious signal problems where you can pick up the signal on multiple channels. If you are only using one channel on the TV, this isn’t an issue, but it may cause interference on anything connected through the RF in jack.

I used this to convert a analog security camera to a UHF Channel. I can now see my cameras on my television.
