SufixPerformance V-Coat 50-Yards Spool Size Tip Up Braid Line

I just put this line on my beaver dam tip ups and I'm really impressed. The coating makes a big difference in feel and I think it's going to shed water much better.

I have been using this product for a few years now... I have purchased dozens of reels of it and it is a quality product as far as break strength and freeze prevention. However there are a few things that you may not like. When fighting a fish and trying to manage your line on the ice, this stuff just curls up into piles of twisty slinky. Usually these piles go back down the hole without to much fuss, but the potential for some massive tangles are always at the forefront of my mind.The other issue is that the coating is so thick that it can add extra resistance to line coming off the tip-up spool - especially if the tip-ups you are using have a guide ring. This can spook some species of fish making it easier for them to feel that something isn't right... I've found that in deep water this isn't a huge issue as there's enough line weight hanging through the water column to combat the issue BUT in shallow water situations I do feel like I have more dropped baits than those around me.

I purchased two tip-ups for ice fishing. This line is color coded white/black in five foot sections. I split the line between the two reels. Very flexible and easy to put on the reels. If you are a game warden reading this review, I caught my permitted limit of five rainbow trout and no more on our day out!

I like the ease of using coated tip up line. Its strong & doesn't TANGLE UP. I mostly fish for Tiger Muskies, and combined w/ a steel leader, I have had no problems...

Great strong line. I don't use just for tip-ups, i use on my bait casters catfishing. It is tough, abrasion resistant and surprisingly easy to cast. You will still need to use a steel leader when fishing for something with teeth, but I have had this line hold together through snags and have caught many big fish.

This line works great. Enough line to fill your tip up spool. Gives you the ability to bury your treble hook into the line for storage and not get snagged in the line. Has a bit of memory but works well.
