***UPDATE: I was blown away by the Govee customer support after reaching out to them explaining the issue. They were extremely quick to respond (within about an hour) to my inquiry and immediately took steps to rectify my problem. They sent me a replacement that arrived in less than 48 hours, and the adhesive on this batch seems much better after setting them up. I was extremely impressed with the customer service and as I stated in my original review, the actual lights are beautiful. This has made me confident to continue purchasing and recommending Govee's products to friends and family.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I hate to write this review, as I love all of my other Govee products, but this really was a disappointing purchase. I have bought near $1000 of Govee lights over the past couple months and this is the first one that really was a terrible experience.As for the lights themselves, they are absolutely gorgeous. And the actual instructions for setup were fairly easy so no problems there. But oh god, the adhesion I would give a 0/10 if I could. I spent about an hour perfectly planning out my design, measuring for perfect placement, and very meticulously leveling each light panel as I followed the instructions on sticking them to the wall. In the morning I carefully cleaned the wall with isopropyl alcohol just to make sure there was no residue on the walls, then in the evening when it was time to actually install the hexa lights, I followed the instructions and wiped the wall with a dry cloth and then for each light I applied pressure for 60 seconds just to be safe. As I finished getting all the panels up and calibrated, one of the hex lights came unstuck. I wiped the wall again where that specific one fell off, reattached it, and went to sleep. Overnight, 2 of the 10 lights fell off the wall and were disconnected. 3 of the remaining 8 on the wall were not attached, but were just hanging from the support of some of the other lights.This whole installation has been a disaster from the start and has been an horrible user experience, which is a shame because the light quality for these themselves are great. So now I have to make the decision if I need to go and pay out of pocket to buy a bunch of command strips and reinstall all of these completely over again, or I am going to return them. I still haven't decided, but I wanted to provide this as a warning to all others looking to purchase this particular light.

I enjoy having these behind my computer providing a nice ambiance. The app is very easy to use and provides easy customization with adjustable brightness and fun colors and patterns. Do not notice any excess heat and seem to stay cool after being left on for hours.

The lights themselves are really cool and I like them a lot. My recommendation goes with what others have said and use another type of adhesive to stick them up on your walls. Mine lasted on the walls for a bit but within the last week 4 had fallen off. And yes I followed the instructions they gave for hanging them up. I'm switching out the adhesive with command strips.

Fiancé loved these. We are now looking to expand the Govee ecosystem to the outdoor lights. I got these before Christmas for a gift as he always wanted some. I read and watched reviews of this vs Nanoleaf and decided this one made more sense. They look great and were easy to put up with the installation video guide. They are pricey, but I did get a good deal with a coupon that made it even easier to decide to go with Govee.

I bought this when it was on sale for around $132 total so I can say with confidence it was worth that price point. Its so bright that I actually have it running around 15% brightness majority of the time. One thing I will say before installing this, is that the adhesive for this is INSANELY STRONG, it will rip off your wall paint, if you decide to reposition it or take it off for any reason. I highly recommend having a different set of double sided adhesive on hand before installing just in case. Other than that it has many combinations and patterns you can work with in the app and the product itself. Good luck with the install!

These lights are amazing. They set the mood and paired well with my lamp from Govee, but the sticking tape didn't last long on my wall. I've had them for two weeks, and after a while, one started to come off. I kept trying to restick it to the wall, but as soon as I left it there for 24 hours, it came all down completely, making the whole wiring come apart.I'll attach photos here so everyone can see the setup initially, how cool they looked, and how they looked after it all came apart. I think Govee needs better sticking tape for these. I have other items that are sticking to the wall with 3M tape, and they have never unsticked from the wall. These items are much heavier than these lights and use just one piece of tape compared to having tape on each light.It's kind of sad that I may need to take off the original tape and put some 3M on it.UPDATE: After trying to get these back up, the whole thing came down! Now my wall is damaged and the stickers are all used which means that I will have to replace ALL of them to get them back up. Terrible tape, it doesn’t stay up. Stay away and don’t buy.
