Remington XR1470 HyperFlex Wet & Dry Shaver, Men's Electric Razor, Electric Shaver

I ordered this thinking Remington is a known brand with a good reputation. I received my shaver and charged it. It worked fine for about a week. It has two settings. The second, faster setting, is supposed to be for two or three-day beard growth, but I found the slower speed tended to pull my hair, instead of cut it and I shave every day. After only a week, the shaver died on me. I recharged it and the next day it died again after only three minutes of usage. I called Amazon and they got me in touch with the manufacturer, who sent me a replacement shaver. This one only worked for a grand total of two shaves before it bit the dust. At this point, I was thinking user error, right? But I looked up everything I could. It's not complicated. You charge it, it shaves. period. The fact is, it is an inferior product. I have a scheduled talk with the manufacturer to see if I can just get my $80 back. Stay tuned...UPDATE: Remington is sending me a full refund for the unit and sent me a pre-paid return label to send the faulty one back.

I purchased this shaver for my 89 year old father after a friend recommended it and am very pleased with it. My father, being the old dude that he is, has some pretty crepey skin that the Norelco I just bought him was not very working well on, but this one is doing the trick fantastically. It leaves a nice smooth shave with no razor burn, and it flexes to accommodate his not-so-supple skin so he gets a nice close shave without a million passes and without leaving hairs behind.

Hubby had an old razor but couldn't justify spending top dollar on something for men with more facial hair. He's Asian, so growing a beard or moustache isn't pretty and I like a clean shave. He enjoys the pivoting head and commented that shaving takes much less time now. It's easy to use and powerful, plus makes a great Birthday Gift for a handsome chap!

I bought about 6 months ago and this morning when I pushed the trimmer button the trimmer fell off. It had not been dropped or abused. Also the complete top assembly keeps detaching and comes off. It shaves pretty good though.

Tried this razor twice. The 1st razor wouldn't hold a charge. The 2nd razor left my face looking like I face planted in gravel. Remington should settle on fewer styles and simply make them better.

Very disappointed worked horribly continuously pulled on the hairs and burned really bad it got very hot

I bought this for a father's day present for my husband. He was very skeptical as he's tried other razors like this one before and they didn't work well. He tried this one for me and instantly fell in love! This is his absolute favorite razor and he highly recommends it!

Ya tenía una Remington 1370, que desafortunadamente la rompí. Cuando busque una nueva ya estaba discontinuada por la 1470, estaba a un precio muy alto, pero al fin la conseguí a un precio razonable. El modelo es practico por que tiene un corta patillas en la parte de atrás muy útil y que otras marcas no lo tienen o hay que ponerle un accesorio adicional, las cabezas rotatorias afeitan sin irritar y tiene dos velocidades para usarlas de acuerdo a si es una rasurada de un día o mas velocidad para una barba de mas días. La carga dura 60 minutos de uso, para mí es más de una semana.

/ después de 6 meses de uso mi equipo presentó una falla en batería. En el min 53 se apaga y hay que cargarlo nuevamente. Me interesa información de donde enviarla para que la puedan checar o si hay garantía de fabricante puedan apoyarme para canalizarla. Gracias.

after a month of daily use the battery has already started to die and the motor is so weak that i have to use "turbo" mode without it pulling my hair.sadly it started to do this just after the refund window so im stuck with it.

My husband just runs it under the tap to clean it. He now shaves every day.

this stopped working after a couple of months, not sure why.
