I was happy with these to go to a country with unfamiliar foods. I took some before going to make sure they didn't disagree with my system. They did cause some loose bowels, no other adverse effects. I did not have digestive problems, whether I would have anyway I don't know. My husband is now on an overseas trip and remarked the food upset his stomach a bit.
