My cat barely let me get it out of the box before he was exploring (seeattached pic!). He goes in the cave several times a day. I don't know if hegoes in there at night when we are sleeping, but I suspect that he does.He loved the bonus toy and chased it around for an hour the very first day. Ithas become his favorite toy! Thanks for two great products!

For the aesthetically refined cat person
No surprises in the appearance of the cat-cave I received, it looks very much like the photo. I bought one medium size and both my cats love it- the medium fits nicely on a bookshelf and looks so much more presentable than all the other cat-bed options out there. They really seem to like the little hiding place. Heck, my girlfriend and I would love one of these in people-size!

The wool is anti-microbial too so it's especially good for her situation
Bought this for my momma'a sick kitty in cold New York. Got two photos back from Mom and Brother just beaming with how much she loves it-- and it keeps her off the furniture. The wool is anti-microbial too so it's especially good for her situation!

They are easy to clean with a brush and mild soap
I received the two Cozy Cat Caves and within minutes there was a cat fight as to who owned which one. I have seven cats. Some cats preferred the “dishbowl” configuration, some the “cat cave,” but either way, Cozy Cat Caves Rule in the cat world. I have a Maine Coon who is not overweight but Big, and is a fan of the cat cave. I place them on top of a cat tree and they are filled in seconds. Put them on a chair…same thing. They are easy to clean with a brush and mild soap. The design is incredible. They resemble huge seed pods, and the white around the openings adds a nice touch. I bought my sister two for her cats and she had the same result. Curiosity. Invasion. Ownership. My sister and I are very pleased with the product. An added plus was the toy ball, which disappeared into the alternate universe where cats hide their stuff. These pods were designed by people who know cats.

He hates it.
I rated it one star which means "I hate it" on Amazon. That's not really fair because I actually think it's pretty nice, but there wasn't a button for "my cat hates it". He wants nothing to do with it whatsoever. Based on the reviews that is atypical, but I'm sure there are at least a few cats out there like mine, so be warned, there's no guarantee your cat will warm up to this. My cat still prefers cardboard boxes that are ridiculously too small for him.

I like it, don't completely love it and my cats are split.
I purchased the large blue cat cave and I do like it, I don't completely love it like I was hoping for and my cats are split.4 stars for quality5 stars from my mom's cats2 stars from mine3 stars from mepros and cons belowI've been wanting to purchase a cat cave for a long time but the price set me off of it until now. I still don't have the extra cash especially after the vet bills because my baby just had a seizure the 21st of December but I was hoping this would be a nice thing for her to have since I lock her in my room at night to monitor her now and I wanted to get her something that she would be content in. Unfortunately she doesn't use it much at all. She will hop in and lay down in it for all of two minutes before wanting nothing to do with it unless its playtime. She enjoys it when I run my fingers or a toy along the outside but even then it's short lived and she prefers to play tag, not worth spending the money when I could have a better outcome using a blanket. What are the chances that a cat that loves to burrow and sleep under blankets turns her nose up at this both flattened and as a cave?!My mom's cats on the other hand love it, OF COURSE!! Two of her brothers are in it constantly (it's hard to keep them out of my room), her other two brothers sleep in it occasionally, and her sister wants to use it but I don't let her becuse she has a bladder stone so she's always stinky and sometimes drips bloody pee, yes I feel bad but you can't just throw this in the wash and she uses the cat bed I bought that my baby also doesn't touch haha! The cave itself has its pros an cons.PROS:*It's large enough to accomodate cats ranging from kittens and petites to overweight and large breed cats (my baby is only 8 pounds but long, her litter mate brothers are huge and long but not overweight, and the largest of our cats is roughly 18-22 pounds, he is a CHUNKER and I call him chubs LOL). My girl has extra sprawl room and the boys take up most of the space but can still roll and stretch out.*Thickness seems pretty even and it's sturdy enought lift when a cat is inside of it.*Holds its shape very well.*Most of the cats love or at least like it.*Can be used for sleep or play.*Pretty and functional.*The color seperation is not a solid line so it blends well together and makes it more unique to each piece.*The bottom is flattened slightly so it sits nicely on a flat surface and doesn't roll around when the cats use it.CONS:(some of these will be personal preference both for me and specifically to my cat)*The blue isn't as deep and vibrant as I'd hoped it would be, there are a lot of white and grey fibers on top of the blue that takes away from the sharpness of the color, I'm a little dissapointed.*The opening has a few spots that arent completely felted together so after wear I'm afraid they might widen. There is one that's wide enough to sitck my finger inside (3/8ths of an inch deep) that could easily be pulled apart.*The slightly flattened bottom makes it difficult to flip over to make it feel more like a cave. I think my cat would use it more if the opening was smaller or if I could flip it so it was darker and more cozy inside.*My cat is indifferent to it, sadly.*Difficult to wash if there are any accidents which is good to know before purchase. (I did know beforehand but thought it would be good to mention.)*More expensive than other caves. Wish I would have gotten the one that was ten dollars cheaper since the color isn't what I wanted. Love the grey and white but the colors should pop a little more.Overall it's a good purchase becuse the quality of the wool is good and the opening is smaller and more even than many other caves but I wish I would have chosen a cheaper option since I just dropped the money for a cave that isn't the color I was expecting, has some manufacturing defults, and is used by all of the cats in the house except for my own. I would give it another chance and will recommend because the quality seems decent, I just don't have the luck. I will add some photos in the near future. Please let me know if my review was helpful to you, thanks!
