Great antenna great price
Worked very well. Make sure you do channel search in your tuner and all the local channels will show up. It's important else you will only see one or two channels. Worked well even before i mounted on the roof. No need for more expensive antenna in NYC anyway.

Great antenna
After you get it assembled, it is a great antenna with wonderful reception. I will caution that I am very mechanically minded but it took quite a while to assemble the antenna. It came in pieces and I found that the assembly instructions were lacking detail and illustrations. I finally pulled the picture of the antenna up on my iPad and enlarged it as much as I could to finish assembling the antenna. I think those not mechanically minded would have great difficulty putting it together to the point they might return the product. Please keep that in mind when ordering.I am quite pleased with the reception. In fact, the antenna works so well and is small enough that I have not installed it outside as yet. It is currently hidden in the corner behind my TV in a fake palm tree. It may not have to go outside on my balcony.

Impressive reception despite obstacles
As others stated, I used the photos to help me assemble. All the hardware was very adequete and everything was contained in the plastic bags. This was for an airplane hangar, basically a metal shed, and though the antenna was placed high inside and pointed correctly, reception was poor. THEN, when placed outside, San Diego CA, 7 miles from one tower and 13 miles from another, the channels just poured in, and the key network channels were crisp and clear. Aiming wasn't as critical as I thought, and ultimately I aligned it pointing at one tower, with the other tower coincidentally being directly behind it. I think it will last many years outside, and probably the plastic point of co-axial connection, and the plastic panels holding the center rods will be the first to fail. All in all, I'm happy with the value and the performance.

Small antenna that works great
This antenna was small enough to fit in the eves of my roof. And it is very light-weight. I'm 68 years old and I was able to install this myself, keeping in mind that I'm in good shape and can use a drill. :-) The instructions could have been written better but I was able to work through them. This antenna allowed me to pick up local channels after I got rid of my cable TV.

Clunky and limited channels
We cut the cable cord a few years ago and have had a small antenna on the living room t.v. that picks up about 10 channels pretty regularly and wanted one for a bedroom t.v. I saw this at Target but came to Amazon for the reviews. It seem well reviewed and the price was $10 less than the Target one I was looking at in the store so I ordered it from Amazon. This antenna arrived on time and well packaged and so we set it up, but there was no way to keep the two "antenna" parts in the base. So we rested it on top of the t.v. and ran the scan. I picked up about five channels. Fine it would work for this tv that we barely watch. Then we were doing construction near the living room antenna and it was broken, so I thought we would use this in it's place. I moved it to the living room location and ran the scan. It picked up about five channels all but one was very scrambled. So husband went out and bought a Leaf version antenna. We set it up in the same location and it picked up about 12 channels all more clear than our original living room antenna. So this is going back to the bedroom t.v. But I recommend highly the Leaf. It is less clunky and picks up more channels clearly.

Works really well, so much easier to install than the stick-on tapes.
Very nice. I used a switch as the TV randomly turns it on and off.

GREAT IDEA THAT COULD USE SOME ALTERNATIVE HANGING OPTIONS AND A LONGER WHITE CABLE
Purchased this after reading reviews that it was finally an HD antenna that worked, so is it?Yes, when you find the right position for it (and that includes how the cable is run and looped and hung between it and the television). Slight movement of the cable will alter the reception for certain channels - just as it does for the less expensive thinline models. It is modern looking and when assembled purports to sit on a cabinet or table top, but the instructions also say to put it as high on the wall as possible or near a window without aluminum frames, so unless you live right in a metro area with transmission towers, it will not work on a low cabinet or window sill.I am 45 miles from the towers and this antenna does provide a fairly steady HD broadcast when in the right position, which for my living area was as in the attached photo. That's right, vertically instead of horizontally as designed to hang or stand. Lacking a way to hand it on the wall in this position, it is draped over the corner of the picture behind it. Notice how the cable is stretched behind the picture as well. If I move that cable, I lose half of the over the air HD channels. It would have been nice to have this in white if I have to have cable strung behind and on either side of a picture. You probably won't have this issue or same configuration to make it work however; if you are closer to the towers or in line of site.It works as well as the others and a little bit better for continuous, non-pixelated picture, when located correctly. (Wind and storms and tree movement can also affect HD signals, as can raising your metal garage door with the antenna on the wall facing the garage. And like antennas of old, it can be clear when you position it and as you walk to the couch, it can change the signal because you aren't touching it, but this is true of all these indoor HD antennas, not just this one.)I gave it 3 stars only for the lack of a design that doesn't allow it to be hung curved side facing the wall, or vertically instead of horizontally. Overall, I get the same channels as with two other, cheaper indoor antennas, but a more consistent signal, and the HD is BETTER than what my cable company provides for the same channels, some of which are really free over-the-air.To hang it on the wall, you must use it disassembled, but the problem is, the side that would hang on the provided screws and plastic sheetrock spreaders, turns it backwards from the position it operates best in - which is the curved side with the cable attached facing the signal transmission towers.

UltraPro Outdoor HD Digital, Long Range Smart TV Antenna, Supports 4K 1080P HD VHF UHF,
London Ont.Done a few DIY TV Antenna but was never satisfied with signal strength tried flat one's but nothing work so took a chance on this one a all I can say is amazing getting 5 channels CTV2, TVO, YES, OMNI1 n 2 with only 8.5 feet off the ground all solid, weather does have an impact of on some channel but signal is 80 to 100 on most channels, I installed mine under the eavestrough to protect from harsh Canadian winter as I don't think it would stand it if in the open but for me I'm satisfied. You can pickup CITY 31.1 by rotating the antenna but lose 3 channels unless you have clear view of east and west TV towers.Very easy to assemble recomended, check TVFOOL.com from your location for better reception.
