Hard to fly from the outset and even harder after a few rough landings.

Complete waste. This is NOT controllable. It flys straight to the ceiling, then crashes down. Not as advertised at all. Cannot be controlled.

I haven't had great luck with these types of toys in the past, but I bought this for my 7.5-year-old nephew who is obsessed with Jurassic World. He seemed genuinely enthusiastic about it, and that even persisted for several hours because I hadn't thought to charge it ahead of time. Although the fob is battery-operated, the dino itself has a USB port. At long last, we prepared for lift off...and then mildly panicked when the propellers failed to spin. They fired up after a few attempts, but that seemed to be the norm. I'm still unsure if this drone is just slower to start than we're used to or if the fob was malfunctioning.After we achieved flight, I don't think anyone managed to keep it up for more than 5 seconds. Now, I'm no certified drone pilot...but my brother-in-law is, so I really have to disagree that this thing is as great for beginners as the description claims. We were all familiar with motion controls, but this drone flies much faster, farther, and higher than expected. In an instant, it shoots way up in the air or zooms off at full speed in a seemingly random direction. It was almost impossible to keep up with it let alone maintain motion underneath. While the starter felt unresponsive, the controls felt overly responsive, and the drone seemed to have a mind of its own. It's hard for inexperienced fliers to get the hang of things when the drone won't hover long enough to practice.For the same reasons, we quickly questioned the wisdom of flying this thing indoors. Even the largest room in the house seemed much too confined for anyone but a seasoned expert. We moved outside to avoid accidents, and the open space there seemed much more appropriate (though we still managed to crash into several parked cars). Most of our 45 minutes of playtime was spent chasing after it.I don't exactly regret this purchase since my nephew seemed pleased to add it to his collection regardless. However, it requires a much larger, wide-open space than I expected, and it will likely take a very long time to learn to fly it well. Given the amount of times it crashed and emerged unscathed, it does seem sturdy and durable at least. It's also quite detailed and looks great. I doubt my nephew will end up actually playing with it a lot though since it's so situational.

Complete waste of money. Does not stay up in the air even fully charged. It is too heavy. My son was very disappointed.

Quickly flew into things and crashed rather than hovering. Remote was not very responsive.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this as a birthday present for my youngest. He likes dinosaurs and planes, this is a great mix. It works perfectly, my son definitely will be happy!
