Brilliant book
This is such a brilliant book, so many fun questions in here that I'm sure my 5 year old will love. The book's pictures are really engaging and there is just enough information to keep a younger child interested and not overwhelmed. Was really impressed with how quickly this was delivered, considering the estimated arrival was after Christmas, the book arrived with 4 days to spare.

Interesting book for kids
I bought this after purchasing and enjoying the Britannica Children's Encyclopedia. And after buying this one, have also bought Factopia by Britannica. The Book of Why is well formatted and perfect for bed time reading. It has encouraged my 8yo son in his reading. Even his 3yo brother enjoys listening to it. They have both learned from this book. When out and about they just blurt out some random fact so they obviously have taken something in.And it is not just some dense list of facts or whatever, it is well illustrated and organised. Would highly recommend for any child from say 3yo up to around 10 or 11 even. Print and binding quality etc are great, we've read it cover to cover and it still looks as good as new.

The big book of why
This is a great book. My Grandson is at an age where he is always asking why, so we love looking up the answer to his questions together.

Excellent for 6 to 7 year olds
Written in clear English appropriate for 6 and 7 year olds, those just starting to read more fluently. Just the right amount of information to promote further interest and research, without them losing interest by overload. Please consider a follow up with Where and What, maybe with geography and science. Brill and nice to see English rather American spelling and bias.
