OK, despite following the instructions, not packing the coffee in, not going over the max fill line, ensuring the seal on the lid etc.. I was cleaning my Tassimo machine and wasting coffees into the sink as the lid, despite being firmly closed, blew off time and again, throwing water and coffee grinds everywhere. I persevered for several days but eventually my patience wore out. Neither my wife or I could get on with this product.Save your time and money. Honestly I'd rather make a decent Cafetiere than fill this pod only to have it explode again. Awful product.. shame as I had high hopes of saving money and the environment by staying away from proper pods but it's not too be, not with this product anyway.

I can now get the double shot Americano that I always wanted using the 180ml capsule, and with a huge choice of ground coffee... just cut the barcode off a used americano pod and stick that over the default barcode to get a longer coffee, remove it again for the default double espresso. Thanks to advice from other reviewers I have been careful not to overfill, brush all coffee grinds away from the edges for a good seal and don't press/compact the coffee, and it's made a perfect coffee every time. Thank you.

While this worked it was really good and I liked the choice of coffee I could have, but now whenever I use it the pod explodes sending coffee everywhere in the machine and in the cup so no longer any good.This worked for about 3 weeks with 1 or 2 cups a day

I've waited a few weeks of use until reviewing. These pods are easy to use and I've not had any issues with leakage. I ensure that the coffee is level with the centre dimple rather than the max level, see photo. One criticism is that the provided scoop & spoon don't really assist with firming the grinds into the pod because of the shape. I've found that specially fine ground coffee from my local deli works the best, though shop bought grounds are ok. I would recommend a high strength blend given the way the Tassimo works.

Either this capsule is a knock off or it was poorly designed in the first place. Either way it does not work. First it is not design to seat correctly in the receptacle. Any respectable designer would have figured out that the surface of the receptacle is not uniform and flat so the principle adopted by this pod cannot work as the cap deform as soon as it is latched on. As a result it does not provide the requested seal. The seal formed between the cap and the container is not sufficient to handle the pressure provided by the machine. As a result the coffee output is nowhere near a traditional capsule and more importantly at the end of the cycle the cap burst open and coffee end up all over. I have tested it without coffee in the capsule and the water also burst out at the end of the cycle, which surely mean that this product is faulty.As a personal interest I further tested the pod using my own 3D printed receptacle ( with a flat surface this time) and it still did not resolve the issue. It probably would need additional optimisation to maintain the pod and cap in place and form a strong seal when the pressure builds up. In my opinion as it is, this product is either not suitable for every type of Tassimo machines or more likely a pretend artifact and definitely not suitable for the purpose. Judging by the five stars the product received from other customers I have to assume that their machine is different to mine or perhaps received a pod different to mine.
