Arrow Precision Stag Youth Archery Recurve/Compound Set

I got this to shoot with my daughter. Not bad for a youth bow. I tossed the arrow rest and put a stick on one from BPS for $6. Works much better. Now it's hanging on the wall until my daughter decides to give up her smaller bow for this one as I bought an adult bow. But this is a good one for a beginner.9/5/13 = Added nock points and with the $6 rest from BPS this bow is good to go. Now that arrows don't slide up and down string she loves it. Plus it is camo like Dad's bow, which she thinks is so cool.11/25/13 = OKay I don't know where they got 25 pounds for a draw weight. We have done everything we can do and can't get it past 20 pounds. She can still hit the paper at 30 yards. Better at shorter range like 20 or 10 yards. But this bow has the power to reach 30.

Decent bow for a beginner. I added nocking points and a new arrow rest so my daughter would have better control of the arrow. The discription of the bow is incorrect, the bow has a 25lb draw and a 28" draw length. The bow has a cable for a bow string instead of the traditional bow string so you cannot install a peep sight. The pin sight is cheap plastic butit seems to work fine. For the price, you can't expect the accessories to be high quality.

Purchased for my 10 year old son as a started bow and arrow set. It took him about an hour to get comfortable pulling it back but now he can do it effortlessly. The bow is pretty powerful and the arrow holder is a nice touch. I've shown the bow to many people and everyone says it oooozes quality and it makes everyone else want one. ;o)

The bow works great - it is a good value. It was easy to assemble and arrived well packaged. I only give it 4 stars because the arrows fell apart - the tip on one and the nock on the other. Wasn't a big deal...a little glue and we were back in business...but the original construction of those pieces seemed poor to me.

My 9 year old never dreamed that he would ever be entrusted with a bow and arrow. It was so far off his radar of things to consider putting on his Christmas list that he could have been knocked over with a feather Christmas morning when he opened it. We bought him some extra arrows. He has been outside for 3 days now shooting at a target in the backyard. The only problem is a slightly annoyed older brother who never got a bow and arrow for Christmas.

I got this for my 10 year old son for Christmas and he has really enjoyed it. I only wish it would come with more arrows. Suggest buying another pack of arrows with it.

My average stature 11 year old daughter does awesome with this bow. Perfect draw weight and length. Good velocity/accuracy overall, but the arrow rest is lousy. Make sure you get a set of string nocks, as there are not any installed - and much needed! Will plan to buy another for my next daughter, then son, then son...it's a good bow. Great for youth.

very well made bow but draw weight is not correct was only 15-17 lbs and the bow string on it you can not install a peep sight and a little small for arrow nocks so should install a arrow nock rest above and below for the arrow to sit in
