The media could not be loaded.  Update, company replaced them and both of them work fine.Well, one worked exactly as it should…… the second one seems to be defective. Filled both according to instructions.

It's adjustable with just the tiniest tweak of a small screwdriver on the bottom too. Lasts fairly long time between refills. Has a very easy, soft button push which is great for my arthritic fingers + flame stays as long as you hold the button down. Button is far enough away from flame that fingers don't get too hot or burned even if you hold it down for a while. Most importantly, and unlike most other small torch lighters, the parts that get hot are all made out of metal so nothing melts or wears out quickly. So far it's still lighting on the first push + stays lit as long as is needed with no issues. Whenever it fails to light or stay lit, it's only because it needs more butane gas. If you want a less intense small torch lighter, this is it!

I purchased these lighters because they reminded me of a windproof lighter I first bought 25 years ago. That lighter lit every time in all sorts of conditions and was completely reliable. These these match that item in superficial appearance only. They consist of a rubbery case which gives the impression of ruggedness but the removable lighter component is cheap and poorly finished. After filling with butane fuel, they each lit on one of five tries which is poor, but after sitting for several days they would not light at all. A quality fire lighter is a critical piece of hiking or camping gear and these are junk cannot be trusted. I am throwing them in the trash less they give me or someone else in the family the impression that they have a useful lighter. You'd be better off with a disposable lighter from a gas station.

Need the butane refillers. But they work great as they should.

Very hard to see flame . Works great . Also don’t like you can’t see the fuel without taking out assembly.

We go fishing a lot in the colder months, so having a lighter that works against the wind and everything else is needed.

I purchased two of these lighters. First, the instructions are printed on the box in the smallest possible print. I needed a magnifying glass to read them. Then, I got one lighter filled and at first it didn't seem to work but then it worked if I held it upside down. Eventually, it appears to be working properly. So far, the second one isn't working at all. I've filled both of them and set the valve similarly on each. Ok. This is about two hours later. Still one working and one not. the bad one spits out butane when I click the activator but nothing ignites it. No spark.

One of the anodes was much smaller than the other and is rapidly eroding. Soon it will cease to function.
