Ok but reservations on the cover
Works ok and gave it three stars instead of 4 because the cover has two one inch oval holes in it (some design reason i'm guessing) which defeats the purpose of a cover to protect the individual cutting surfaces while being stored.

it also works great at shaping furniture parts where a rasp would be ...
This grater is so much more efficient and much easier to clean than the larger, more common hand graters that I have used in the past. For you woodworkers out there, it also works great at shaping furniture parts where a rasp would be considered a more traditional (but slower) tool. Might want to keep them separate and have one for the kitchen and another for the shop.

Nice but cuts my fingers
Works well but when I get close to the end, I slice my finger every time.

Four Stars
Satisfied with this purchase. It stays razor-sharp, and I like its protective cover. Would buy it again.

It IS truly excellent and I foresee years of use and enjoyment
It was almost hard to believe all the praise heaped upon this zester/grater until I used mine. It IS truly excellent and I foresee years of use and enjoyment. The follow-up by Chefcoo was unexpected and appreciated. A fine product at a great price.

A-1 Zester.
Alas! A zester that finally works. It grates a perfect size for lemons, garlic, cheese and I am sooo glad I finally found one that is sharp enough to do the trick.

Not the best for me...
Maybe I don't know how to use it because I always shred and cut the skin on my thumb too. It's very sharp and moves diagonal which is part of the problem. And I have weak hands.
