CURT 17508 Replacement TruTrack Weight Distribution Hitch Adjustable Support Brackets for 6-Inch Trailer Frames

I own a Curt weight distribution/trunnion sway control hitch for towing a cabin trailer. I want to use this hitch for towing a dump trailer that I own. This set of brackets will be permanently mounted on my dump trailer frame to make swapping the hitch from one trailer to the other a simple task. These brackets are solidly built, easy to install and provide awesome sway control when used with the Curt hitch.

I purchased the weight distribution hitch with another trailer, so I bought these to our new trailer. Everything was easy to install the instructions were good and everything worked great.

Missing locking bar holder.

So I ordered this just for a mounting bracket that would fit around the tongue of my trailer. This allowed me to shift my rear bumper mounted spare tire to the tongue of my travel trailer. All I had to add was 2 1/2 inch carriage bolts to adapt the 4x4 bumper bracket to fit on the 2x6 frame using this hardware!Also the pieces I didn’t use already will work perfectly as a platform that holds a 3/8 carriage bolt if you wanted to bolt something above the tongue. Overall a very useful set of brackets that requires no fabrication for quick bolt on mounting options for travel trailer owners.

My package went missing for about half a week and when it showed up it was missing half the hardware. Based off the model number this is suppose to be a full two bracket set with hardware included. Mine came with 1 bracket set (two clamping brackets, L support bracket, and trunion bar L retention piece and cotter pin). I was missing the whole other side aka the other bracket to make the set and was missing 3 of the 4 mounting bolts and nylock washers that come with it.Ordered a replacement will update review if it comes correctly.
