After my son enjoyed the new Disney Turning Red he really wanted an Tamagotchi, good old Amazon had loads of choice. We opted for this one. Exactly as I remember them. He’s 6 and loves it.

I loved this Tamagotchis pattern and colours. It was super sturdy and the battery haven’t died yet!

The screen is very dim. The screen is glary. It is disappointing. I bought it for my son. He loves it. It isn't the battery. It is just one of those issues with gen 1 and gen 2. Such a she that the quality is not the same as the original.

If you don't have it facing the light at an exact angle you cannot see the screen whatsoever. Please see photos. First photo is face on and you can't see anything. The second picture is the tamagotchi pointed at an angle towards the window. Looks better on the phone, but from the naked eye it's really difficult to see. Be nice if they had a backlight or something.Just feels like I've wasted my money on something I can't see!Hardly ever beeps either but when you check him he's either hungry or soiled himself.I'll definitely do some research if I purchase another one.

I was extremely excited when I found out that Tamagotchis are still a thing!Howaever, after purchaseing the new version I find iut that the website I used to login as a child and give a code to see my tama IRL is no longer up and some functionalities have been stripped (i.e. connecting with other Tamas and the shop).It's now just a virtual pet you may only feed and play with (only one game) until it dies then restart. The trip down memory lane was worth it but doubt this game will last very long before I get bored. The battery basically doesn't die though so will pass it on to someone!!
