I have purchased several of these books and always end of gifting them. I find them perfect for studying to receive the revelation of God's Word based on information and definitions used at the time being referenced. It really makes a difference even if you use Strong's Concordance or other dictionaries. It has a great deal of historical information, pictures, etc.

Pros -- It is full of Bible references to validate its definition of names, places, items and what not. It has been a around for a while under different covers, but the content has remained the same. I've even ordered one for a freind who will be getting ready to finish his term at a Bible Institute.Cons -- The paper quality is not very good. It is a shame, because the content is good. However, with care, the book can be preserved for many years.

This Illustrated Dictionary of the Bible has been a great blessing in preparing my weekend homilies. By researching deeper into the history and culture of the Bible, I am better prepared to draw forth the original meaning of the sacred text, making God’s Word more understandable, illuminated and most importantly, relevant, for my congregation.
