Just finished this trilogy and I have to say that I just added Ms. Cross to my list of must reads. This 3-book series surges out of the gate and doesn't let up until the Epilogue.As a writer myself, I sometimes find it hard to read as a reader without mentally rewriting. Didn't have that problem here. I was hooked from the beginning and I really did have a hard time putting the thing down. The last half begins a wild roller coaster ride with a deep mystery that kept me guessing. Some very clever twists at the end had me commenting out loud how unexpected they were.There are some light BDSM scenes but unlike one popular trilogy/movie that will remain unmentioned, not did I cringe at what he was doing to her. I think one difference was that Sophia had a backbone where the heroine in that other unmentioned trilogy did not. Also, Sebastian was not the same manipulative jerk. He was persuasive without whining, which I really appreciated. His care and affection for Sophia really showed and made all the difference in the world.I will definitely be reading more from this author and look forward to her future offerings.

I one clicked the complete collection after reading reviews on Amazon. I finished reading it in a day and a half. I was hooked from the very beginning and it was hard to put it down to cook, work and sleep. It isn't just a love story although there's lots of steamy sex between Sebastian and Sophia with some light BDSM, but there's also a lot of suspense (I kept telling my husband I'll cook dinner at the end of the chapter but then I had to know what happened so I keep reading- he said it must be a good book - if he only knew!) I was tired but happy at the end of the book, I felt like I had experienced everything that happened to Sebastian and Sophia. Many twists to the story-when you think you know how it's going to turn out something happens that takes you by surprise. Keeps you guessing but in a good way.I think anyone that reads erotica and appreciates a story about a handsome millionaire DOM and a beautiful, successful, strong woman will like this book. I will definitely purchase future books by Maya Cross.

Finished this book in two days. Loved the characters, Sebastian and Sophia. Sebastian is not what he seems. He has plenty of secrets that he must keep at all costs. He tries to be aloof but when Sophia decides she wants to see whats behind the door, she walks into a different world altogether. She finds that Sebastian is a dominant, and she is intrigued. As their relationship evolves, without her fully realizing it she falls in love. Sebastian doesn't want this and instead walks away. However, when Sophia is abducted and he is able to locate her and get her back, they begin a cat and mouse came between kidnappers from a rival group, hired by someone in his "company" who is trying to kill both of them, he goes with a drastic move to flush out the person from his "group". There are a lot of surprises as the story winds down. The people you hold close could be your enemy. I really believe anyone reading this book will agree Maya Cross got it right!

I'm really on the fence with this book as there were bits I liked and bits I didn't. I must be honest, I got annoyed with it part way through and put it down to read another book (not something I usually do) and then picked this one back up again.The blurb gives you a good idea of the general plot- romance with suspense/intrigue, so ill say the bits I did and didn't like.LIKE:1) the books did get progressively better as each book progressed with book 3 definitely the best by far2) the mystery side of it was good and kept you interested3) the couple get their happy ending and the bad guys get theirsDISLIKE1) I got sick of Sophia blushing- firstly she's meant to be a lawyer so I would imagine good with own emotions, but most importantly, the blushing seemed to be on 90% of the interactions.2) Sebastian is meant to be a 'Dom' yet didn't really posses any of the qualities- he kept calling him self an experienced 'Dom' but I do believe anyone can spank something without much knowledge or skill3) I just couldn't really connect with the characters for the first two books so I felt at times it really draggedOverall I think I've read other books in this genre that I've preferred so this isn't a book id re-read personally but do think others may enjoy it

Why on earth would you write a book and make such a glaring mistake. This is the first book I have ever read, where there is no physical description what so ever of not only one of the main characters, but, also none of her friends either. What did Sophia look like?????? It doesn't say, we don't know her hair or eye colour, how tall she is or what her figure looks like, there are only two instances where she mentions her clothes, none of the women, other, than the girl who approached Sebastian in the club, are described. They are all cardboard cutouts, BLANK...we knew what Sebastian looked like because he was described in detail, but, you have to have some sort of visualisation in your mind when reading, otherwise whats the polnt, all the way through, whilst reading these books, that was what I thought was missing.

Sophia loved to go all out and have a good time with her girlfriends. One night in a bar, lots of people dressed y ok the nines disappearing behind a door in back. What's a girl to do, but investigate.She gets more than she bargained for, in Sebastian.To say their relationship resembles a rollercoaster, would probably be a little of an understatement.Romance, hot sex, intrigue and someone out to kill them?All in a day's work for The Alpha Group.

OMG This was fantastic. I could not put it down. This story has everything. Sebastian Sophia seduction soul searching. Lots of sass that led to explosive sex. Very well written scenes though some had me squirming. That aside it was not just an erotic romance it has a great background story to add suspense and thrill. Who knew love could be so dangerous. It just goes to show revenge is a mugs game and love always wins in the end. A great read I laughed cried and squirmed my way through this one. Great way to unwind after a rotten week at work

Bought the books thinking they'd be like ever other book in the genre... innocent girl meets bad boy, starts an arrangement, falls in love, guy runs scared and admits a shady past etc.... However the characters are completely different and I love that Sophia is strong and knows what she wants. I also love the action in this trilogy and that is primarily what separates it from the average erotic romance novel (not that I'm not obsessed with them). Can't wait to try some new material from the author!!
