Yes it does. Compete ingredient list: Water, alcohol, herbs and spices, caramel and certified food color, containing FD&C Red #40.

Does this product have an expiration date? how long does it last once opened? i'm trying to decide if i should order the 5 or 10 oz size. thank you!

There is no expiration date. I always order the 10oz and it is always perfect. I have never encountered any issues with age of an open bottle since I love Sazaracs it doesn't last more than a month or two. I always order 2 10 oz bottles so I know that I have back up. I also use it in rum cocktails as well. It seems to go well with everything I've tried it in. I'd rate it a 10!

Does this actually have a bitter taste? I want to be sure that it does not have any sweet qualities.

It is not bitter, more herbal in flavor. I would not use it in a dessert. Not sweet

It is most certainly alcoholic, but does not contain absinthe

Great bitters

Classic, around for 150 years for a reason. I make Italian bitter sodas using these bitters with excellent results. Reasonable price, when you consider a little goes a long way.I guess it’s not just for Sanaracs!

Standard bitters

I bought to follow a specific drink recipe. Priced at what I can find for in store. Seems to taste fine. Just need a couple spashes at a time.

Best Bitters Additiuve

Whatever drink I add this too, it is very positively enhanced! A bit pricey (as most bitters tend to be) and getting very difficult (read impossible!) to find in the northern Milwaukee towns and suburbs so be sure to order ahead from your favorite online provider. Started using it about 3 years ago in place of Angorasta brand and really liked it!!! Slightly orangish and slightly sweeter taste than Angorasta so can be used in MANY drinks.
