Q: Is this Dishwasher safe?

I belive it is , but I rather go the extra mile to make sure its as clean as possible for my lil guy Rocco (Boston Terrier) Rinse with warm water and dish soap If stubborn treats, like dried peanut butter, don't rinse out, try soaking the squeaking dog ball in warm water and dish soap to loosen the leftovers. Use an old tooth brush to scrub the inside of toy. Be sure to rinse thoroughly.

Q: Is this bigger than a tenis ball?

Yes, it is bigger than a tennis ball. It is closer to the size of a softball. The add says it is 4 inches (diameter--across). My boxers can pick up the ball in their mouths but they don't seem to like to, I think because of the pointy knobs.
