Super Fun!
This game is hilariously fun and somewhat relatable! As someone who works in management and has to train new hires, I have run across my share of people who look great on paper but have “quirks” which make them terrible in real-life. I played this game with several of my colleagues who have also been in the same situations with new-hires, and we had a blast. This game allowed us to joke, reminisce, and share some of our “horror stories” from days gone by. I actually think this game would be fun to play with a human resources team to start conversations and maybe even problem solve some issues. On the other hand, this game is fun for anyone who has worked with that one person who makes going to work a living hell. I recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun game night.

Great party game

Great party game with a unique twist on the Match a Card play style.
In the vein of party games, its hard to stand out from the Black Box lookalikes, but Jobstacles does it spectacularly. One player is the hiring manager, using a job card to identify which position others are supposed to submit a candidate. This could be looking for a yoga instructor, chauffeur, or neurosurgeon. Players can select a qualified or funny profession from their hand. What makes the game interesting is the use of jobstacle cards, which can make a candidate less attractive. Who wants to hire a forest ranger for a tour guide if they are afraid of the outdoors? Do you really want a rocket scientist who refuses to talk to anyone without a PhD?What I really like about the game is that all of the job cards can be used both for a player's hand to submit as a candidate, or for use as a vacant position to be filled. Also included in the box are several blank cards for both jobs and jobstacles, so you can add your own. I have played this several times with the same group of people, and despite the fact that the same jobs and jobstacles keep coming up, they can be combined in new and hilarious ways. I can't wait for an expansion.

No go
Gave this one away. Good premise. Cards didn't match up with jobs, and we couldn't make up our rules to make it work.

Great Game for Anyone Who's Interviewed For a Job Or Interviewed People For a Job! Fun For All!
This is a fun game to play in groups for all ages, and is super fast paced, but there's enough depth that you can play another round once you win. Love that there are blank cards for adding careers and jobstacles so that you can DIY your own. Played with our 11 and 15 year olds and they found it fun too!

Jobstacles is a great party game
Jobstacles is a great party game. We had lots of laughs and I'm excited for the next chance to bring it to the table. Really well-written and well-produced. The cards held up to a night of raucous joy, and hopefully many more.

I love this game!
I actually have had a copy of this game for a couple years off of Kickstarter. I just bought this copy to give to a friend. It is a highlight of my large get togethers you really need at least 3 or more people to play.We really get into it playing the interviewer and then checking credentials. then discussing the candidates with the table before selecting the individual to hire. We laugh so hard. Anytime I go to a friends Christmas party I ask what to bring and she says "Jobsticles" Update: 2022 I bought a second copy to give a friend as we still play this every Christmas and my friends keep borrowing mine because it is one of our favorite party games. I've played with 3 people and up to 16 though 16 makes for a shorter variety of cards. But still loving this game years later,

Great casual party game for 3+ people
I love this game, and think it is incredibly underrated. My family and I are huge board/card game fans and have a large collection, yet this is one of the games I always seem to reach for when I want a quick, casual game to play with friends.I will say, though, that we never pay attention to the rules in the box, which seem to not allow defending your candidate verbally. This is what makes the game fun, so we instead play as follows:- The Judge flips over the top white job card, the position you are interviewing for.- You select one of the three job cards in your hand as your 'past job', and briefly explain to the judge how this experience has prepared you for the position. If (and only if!) a black jobstacle card in your hand would actually help your candidate in this situation, play this as well.- The player beside you plays a jobstacle card they believe is harmful for this position onto your candidate and you must justify why you are still qualified.- The next players then each repeat the process and the judge makes the final decision of who to hire.Everyone I've played it with so far has liked it, here are some of my favourite features:- It sparks loud, though always in good fun, debates about the often ridiculous candidates, with funny justifications for the 'jobstacles' people receive.- Can be as long or as short a game as you want, since you can stop at any time.- It's very versatile. Even though it says 17+ on the box, the cards themselves are at most mildly suggestive. It is only as inappropriate as you make it and can be played with a variety of people. It has been enjoyed both with my grandparents and with groups in their early 20s.- Extremely simple rules. The only downside I can really think of is the fact that there aren't that many cards. But since they're always being combined in new ways, I haven't found it to be a problem.

fun game. But not enough cards to replay it many times. It is fun for 3 or 4 times before it feels limiting. great idea.
