Amazing for playing in the surf
I have had multiple knee and ankle operations. My mobility has been progressively limited. My recovery compounded by multiple surgeries on both legs. I used to have a good one. Now both are weak.I live on the SC coast and have always gotten joy and solid exercise playing in the waves. With both legs not at 100% I have been reluctant to get into the surf.I brought a regular wooden cane to the beach and was able to get out in the waves. It was amazing. The cane would burrow into the sand though, also I struggled with it floating. So I started searching for a walking stick designed for my needs. Didn’t find one. Hint hint, (marketing opportunity).I settled on this cascade walking stick. It had multiple options for the tip. I can tell you, it was perfect for my needs. I installed the snow tip and the regular rubber end. It gave me so much stability. My first two trips into the surf were inspirational. In heavy waves I was able to stay in control and didn’t get swept away. I don’t know how the materials will hold up to the harsh seawater, but I don’t care. I hope to build my stamina to the point I don’t need it, but if I do I will buy another one in a heartbeat.Sorry I wrote a book, I just wanted to give a bit of back story for my unique application of this product. Thank you. Cascade if you want to consult me for ideas on a seaworthy version, feel free to contact me.Thank you for a great time in the surf. ❤️

Not the most sturdy
Not as sturdy (or inexpensive) as my first choice:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KFKGL53?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleFine walking stick, but not a camera monopod. This stick's shaft lock cams are plastic, rather than aluminum and feel a bit flimsy. I doubt it can hold as much stress hiking as the other one. That said, it has a 1/4-20 thread stud at the top for camera mounting, which the other did not. I didn't measure it, but I suspect it was an M6 metric bolt.Summary:If you want a walking stick, buy my first choice. If you want a walking stick that can double as a camera monopod, buy this one.

Sturdy and light
Lightweight and sturdy. Some of the more expensive ultralight poles I've tried didn't give me confidence to put my weight on it (180 lbs), but these poles handle my weight no issue. The handles feel nice on a 13 mile hike. The monopod bolt is sturdy and does not wobble (unlike another trekking pole / monopod I purchased). I recommend mounting a Peak Design plate or something similar to the bottom of your camera and install a quick release clamp on top of the trekking pole so you can easily mount/remove the camera. Normally I just use these as normal trekking poles, but it's nice to have the option of using this as a monopod with a big telephoto lens.

Very light weight and sturdy
Handles are very well made and the cork feels great on the hands. Also has neoprene lower section which is nice to have. The poles are very light. Used these on two 10+ mile camping trips and it has held up very nicely. One of the few poles that I can take hunting since it comes with a gun rest accessory. Great value!

Great shooting stick.
This is a very light and sturdy trekking pole with a shooting stick adapter that allows you to steady your rifle. I used it yesterday for the first time and shot an antelope at 300 yards. I would never have made this shot without this. It comes with various other accessories for both the tip and the handle. The adjustment and locking mechanism is very easy and locks it in position very securely.

Replaced my cane, walking taller!
It's been half a year, and I'm ecstatic. After spending 20+ years in wheelchairs, walkers, and rollators, I graduated to a cane. Not only was I still hunched forward, the cane twisted me toward one side. Wondering how I could walk straighter, I was inspired toward trekking poles. My friend Tim, an avid backpacker, regaled with his trekking pole adventures. He credits a trekking pole with saving his life by preventing a fall down a cliff in Glacier Park!Tim uses just one pole, and it's priced ~$200. I surely couldn't afford two of those, so Tim advised...* Must be carbon fiber* Must have clamp adjusters, not twistingCascade Mountain Tech was a great choice. After 6 months, I stand 5 inches taller, I walk straight, I can see traffic now when I'm walking on the street! Even my physical therapists are happy, and they are HARD to please.

Well made but very long, won't fit in most suitcases
I've been reading lots of reviews about products that can serve both as track sticks and camera and cell phone monopod. This looks like an excellent candidate. And it does appear to be well made, the locks cinch, but I didn't use it in the field because it's too long to carry on airplanes. It's not 28 1/2 inchez long as promised, but 29 1/2 in long, plus a little more for the fabric case.. It won't begin to fit in my large checked suitcase, and probably not yours either. And you can't take it on the airplane because it would be considered a weapon. So how can one take it to India or Nepal? Instead I will return it and buy a shorter round knuckle combination unit, not my preference.
