transfers power as it should
This unit is a lot larger than I expected. I went with this over a gen tie transfer switch for wiring my RV to switch from shore power to inverter power. this works as it should and is easy to install. mine did not come with any instructions or paperwork in the box but seems to be the same wiring configuration as all the other transfer switches this style so a quick search on the google machine provided the information I needed. except for information on the small contacts on the green connector on the top, or front. the only downside is I thought this would be a lot smaller than it is and it ends up being larger than the transfer switch I was considering and went this route thinking it was smaller. It works well and does what I need it to do so I am happy, and the price is half of what the transfer switch is.

It's big, but that's ok. The only confusing thing is the knob points opposite the connectors. being selected.

Instruction manual?
Instruction manual? Are you kidding me? Their enclosed pamphlet did not even cover this model! There was no mention of what the Green 6 connector module on top of the switch was used for! The photo in the Amazon add showing the normal, backup and load connections was far mare relevant than the enclosed 'manual'. You need to put jumper wires for hot and neutral leads on the bottom poles of the switch, then your load wire. The switch allows only one source to be active at a time, thus the jumper wires. Thank heavens for YouTube? BTW, the Green module is used for auxiliary switches or lights or whatever. It is not needed for switch operation, YouTube find. Does the switch actually work? YES. Does the automatic power change over and will revert to NORMAL side when power is restored. I replaced my RV's inverter which had automatic pass through switching with a larger pure sine wave inverter but needed an auto switch. This did the trick. Longevity will be the question but is working perfectly now!
