Everday Use
I tried this as a pocket knife replacement, at work there's copious amounts of tape and cardboard and cling wrap to cut, and outside work packages mostly, the odd string, paper and such, mail and the like; I've always had a pocket knife but grew tired of cleaning tape residue, and sharpening blades that I could never get razor sharp, and even when I got close they would dull and chip if dropped. With a slight mod to the clip (sanding down the inner nub, for easier sliding into the pocket), I can now do all the pocket knife tasks aside from stabbing one in self defense, yet slashing is still available, without having to constantly maintain and worry about dmaging or losing my knife. Not only are these so cheap you can buy 10 for the price of a decent knife, you can also easily snap off each blade that is dull, or chipped or covered in residue, providing a new sharp edge. I also own the ss version but like another review stated I enjoy this one better, feels better in the hand and also doesn't have any sharp metal edges that would scrape my hand when entring into my pocket. The construction on these are sound, nothing feels cheap or readily breakable, for the price of a pen you can have a cutting implement that will surpass your expectations.

Solid product.
I've switched to only using OLFA brand knives for hobby work. Adjusting the blade length is never a problem like I have experienced with other brands.

Well built little utility knife
Great little knife for opening packages. Built better than a lot of the cheaper ones here.

Fantastic!
I bought the bigger version as well .. nothing but quality here .. they are not cheap , but it's the best one i've ever used. Fully metal lined to support the blade, ratchet mechanism works flawlessly and unlike cheaper version , the blade stays exactly in the setting you desired , you can apply pressure and the blade stays firmly in place and cuts like butter. you get what you pay for, and it's worth every penny!

This Review Was Originally for the Olfa 5002 180, but ...
My dad was a contractor who gave me my own tool box full of tools at age 14, saying "girls need to know how to fix their own stuff, if only to know if their contractor is cheating them", and in that box was my first Olfa knife, which I used until September 2023, when some unsavory contractors stole all my tools, so when I purchased this new Olfa knife, I was highly disappointed. This knife is slightly shorter, thinner, and physically lighter than the older knives, with less heft, are cheaply made, and feel somehow off, which gives me less confidence when using it, which leads to easily cutting oneself, which I have done for the first time in years. Make no mistake, these knives are equally as sharp, if not sharper, as the old ones were, but feel cheap. May I suggest you use the (yellow) Olfa 215B knife which, while made of a heavy duty plastic, has all of the attributes the metal knife has lost. If anything, the only issue I may have with the 215B is that none of its instructions are in English, which are only necessary because I refill them with Olfa blades.

A good tool to have in your battery if you're into crafts.

Use with care and don't allow children to use it.
Love it for opening small boxes. We have 3 of them!
