Takes Watercolor!
I have the regular 80gsm version and compared it to this special edition 120gsm version in a YouTube video (keylimeink). It’s wonderful to have a Leuchtturm1917 where I can confidently use fountain pens, brush pens, and watercolor with no bleed through. The only thing which bleeds is a juicy Sharpie marker. The paper buckles a little with water, and there’s just enough ghosting to know there’s something on the other side, but you can’t tell what. I think it would be perfectly fine for bullet journaling and experimenting with various art mediums, but you probably wouldn’t want to paint something you intend to scan for professional purposes if that makes sense.Overall, this is a vast paper improvement over the 80gsm, and you still get the wonderful form factor of a chic, stylish, well-built Leuchtturm.

Paper Snob in Love!!
If the very front paper was aligned better and the few sheets w/ a hint of extra glue didn’t happen… this would have 5 stars!! I love it still. The sage is beautiful. This paper though is impressive!! I am a paper snob. I refused to use their 80gsm crap. This is like Rhodia 90gsm smooth paper had a love child with STM 160gsm rough paper. The few wet streaks was a quick 10 second dry time.Oh and be careful separating the book marks one of mine got a “run” (think pantyhose) in it because the glue pulled and snagged the middle thread. Now I’m sad b/c I just set up a brand new Rhodia for the months of the year and should wait to use this one… should…

Much better than the 80 gsm
I purchased the 80 gsm and was disappointed, since all I had heard was how awesome this brand is. I ordered the 120 gsm after doing some research and I am not disappointed. It handles all the fineliners, highlighters and the like. It is also heavy... heavy is good, heav u is reliable.I got the nordic blue. The only negative thing i can say is mine came with a corner a little damaged. For me, I don't mind gives it character, but others might be annoyed.

Wrong version but great journal!
Amazing quality from an amazing company. They did send the wrong version, I had ordered a dotted and received a blank which is useless for the purpose I needed, but I'll make due! The paper is much thicker than the regular version making it more resistant to bleeding. The form is also perfect for a cargo pocket if you're going to take it on the go. The faux leather build is also nice and having bought these journals for over ten years I can say it holds up.

Great improvement on a venerable notebook
Much better with fountain pens. Very durable and enjoyable notebook. Love the Port Red color.

The Dots are too faint…
I liked the 80g notebook from this company, I even loved it. It was the best dotted journal I’ve used. Except for two things : the paper was too thin and the dots were not easily visible for me to see. I had high hopes for the 120g version! The paper is of good build quality. The journal is sturdy. But the dots are so faint, it might as well have been blank to pages of paper. The 80g version I used previously was usable, but these dots are much less visible. You may get this journal and love it, because there is a lot to like in this product. However, I’m looking for a dotted journal to use as a BUJO. The dotting was not up to par for me, barely visible a real struggle to use and see. I may have gotten a bad printing of the journal or maybe I had misplaced expectations. Either way, as a journal twice the price of others on Amazon - I was not pleased with the product and will be returning it.

Great paper!!
I hope Leucchturm1917 makes this paper a permanent option in these notebooks. Finally, no severe ghosting in a Leucchturm!

Paper still super thin
Would not be able to distinguish between this 120gsm paper and its 80gsm older sibling. Ghosting was terrible with water based markers and a 0.5 gel pen! Green color is gorgeous but there are plenty of similar priced notebooks with better paper quality.

Best new notebook!
Love this notebook! Perfect size, LOVE the texture of the pages and the additional weight of the pages makes all the difference in the world. So great! Will not bleed through even with highlighter. I haven't tried my fountain pen yet but I'm sure it will also be fine because the highlighter was.

Great quality, thicker paper, but some other elements have been removed
What I like is the thicker and higher quality of the 120g paper compared to the standard notebook version with 80g. I had the 80g last year and the ink of the Stabilo (0.4) pencil was visible on the other side of the page. This is not the case with the 120g. The thickness 80g vs 120g is 18.5cm vs 21.5cm and the extra weight 412g vs 475g. That is perfectly fine for me.Be aware that you will not find some elements present in the 80g version:* Instead of 3 page indictor ropes, there are 2;* There is no embossing “Bullet Journal“ on the cover;* There is no KEY page, Tips and instructions.I rated 4 stars because of the differences with the 80g. The purchase suggests that the only difference between the two versions is the paper quality. I also find the price quite high, but overall I am very satisfied with the journal.
