Works well...price is right
Good product...I had RAM and HDD so this barebones NUC was ideal. Using it as my Roon server for my Audio system. Working really well!

Excellent as a Roon core
Like others I picked this because it was recommended by roon to use as a dedicated core. The build was a little more complicated than they made it sound particularly the software install. The instructions on the Bios setup were off (no need to change boot priority, and the bios interface was different than the screen shots on Roon's site). Installing the Codec was also tedious in that one needs to get it from a 3rd party and down load a separate unfolding program from yet another site which then needs to be run twice to access the folder where the codec file resides and finally one must then use a web interface to access the appropriate folder on the roon core to install said Codec. Blah, blah, blah, anyway, with persistence I got there and I am very happy with the end result, particularly for the price. A dedicated i3 Roon Core with 8G ram 256G SSD with a CD ripper and 2 TB of storage all in for less than $400! Woohoo! A little DIY ambition and utilization of slightly used or refurbished parts on Amazon can save you a ton of money.

Way more powerful than you might think
Don't let the fact the CPU is an i3 fool you. This is a 10th generation i3 and it packs a punch. This little box will also do 4K video and up to 3 displays with the appropriate Thunderbolt breakout box. The key to this little guy is loading it up with enough RAM, so that the system is responsive.I have my NUC 10/i3 loaded up with 32GB of RAM. 16GB really is the minimum for a responsive Win10 system these days. Add in a good M2 drive (I have a Kingston 120GB) for the system drive and you've got a really nice PC that will do any normal daily home user/office tasks with aplomb. While the onboard 4K graphics are good, don't expect to play the latest PC games at 4K resolution with all the eye candy turned on. You still need a dedicated GPU for that. But if you're looking for a PC (and this really is a good PC) to use for daily tasks, this is it.Some notes: Doesn't say it in the description, but it comes with a VESA mount so you can mount this to the back of a monitor or onto a wall. Also, this "tall chassis" model has a spot for a 2.5" SSD/HD inside the bottom cover, and comes pre-cabled for it, just add the drive. Theoretically (and given enough money) you could have a 1TB M2 system drive, and a 1/2/3/4 TB storage drive, all in this little box. You could have a 4TB file server the size of a couple cans of tuna fish, that makes almost no noise. As someone who's been in the technology/PC game since the late 80's, this blows my mind, but the technology is here.Highly recommended!

Great for Roon
I bought this because it was the recommended hardware to build your own Roon music server core, and I couldn't be happier. At first I was intimated at the idea, but if you're the slightest bit technically-inclined, following the instructions to install the necessary parts and adjust the operating system for Roon is a piece of cake. It's a fraction of the cost of a Nucleus, far more reliable (based on personal experience), and much more satisfying to do it yourself.... Also, a great seller customer experience. Somehow the sealed NUC contained a UK-compatible power cord, but the seller shipped me a US cable immediately with no hassle.
