Nearness

I heard the title song from Nearness about two weekends ago on the program, "Jazz After Hours". I was simply blown away. The improvisations of Redman were electrifying, intense, and thrilling. In my mind, I was able to follow the tune right down to the last note throughout Joshua's personal illustration. I really, really love it. Also great performance by Brad Mehldau throughout the set. This is one CD that true jazz people should buy.

A pairing that is, at times, harmonious, and, at others, like a musical duel.

An excellent rendition of jazz classics by two modern younger musicians who blend superbly. Great technical skill wrapped in the spirit and soul of the music. A wonderful addition to the CD collection.

Have listened to it twice this afternoon. Is beautiful. Really unhappy we can't listen on amazon music as we have every other CD we've purchased. Feel cheated -
