VERY disappointed and will be sending this back
Beware of FAKE customer reviews!!!!! Each one of these reviewers has only written one review and it's for this product OR they've written nothing but 5 star reviews! This product reduced our download speed from 120mb/s to a laughable 2 mb/s. Our upload speed went from 10mb/s to 0.5mb/s. VERY disappointed and will be sending this back. Lies!!!

Does what its suppose to do
I do not usually leave comments but after the mixed reviews posted I just wanted to add my two cents. I agree some of the reviews may be bogus ( especially the ones saying set up was a breeze)but this product works as described. The setup is not difficult its just the way the instructions are written. Its easier to use you cell phone or tablet for setup. Just plug in the unit, wait for the wifi icon to show on the device. Connect you phone or tablet to the MSMR wifi connection. Open browser and enter IP address given. Login in when prompted and follow the rest of setup as written in the instructions. It will configure automatically. I bought this for my Ring camera I have on the front of the house. The wifi signal is week in front of my house as my router is towards the back of the house. I plugged this unit into an outlet on the ceiling in my garage (garage opener outlet) and set it up. According to the wifi analyzer app on my phone my house wifi was getting -75dBm in the driveway and the MSMR unit is now getting -65dBm which is recommended for streaming. The wifi connection on the camera went from poor to good as noted in the Ring app. So yes this item does work as described. Minus 1 star for the intructions.

This is a GREAT Range extender, does its job!!!
We were not able to stream Netflix and when we got this we have NO PROBLEM at all! The only thing I would say is that I was not able to set it up with the directions. My son, who has technology certification took about 10 minutes to get it set up, and he was surprised at the language on the directions, stating that since he has the knowledge for technology, it was easy for him. But he could see how the language on the directions would not be for the everyday average person. I would recommend having someone with technological experience help you out with the set up. It also needs to be within 10 feet of the TV and still within about 15 feet of the router. Our router has to be down in our basement, since it is the only telephone jack working in our house. For those who have telephone jacks that work fine in their homes or can put the router close by your tv, this should not be an issue.

Easy Peasy !
I am far from Tech savvy but I found this easy to set up. I have a mobile hot spot which I was tired of carrying around the house with me to maintain a good signal. I wasn't sure if an extender would work with a mobile unit. I hooked up the unit using the booklet instructions included in the box as a repeater. Worked perfectly on laptop downstairs. Not knowing anything about these things- I questioned myself- do I repeat this procedure on my other devices- no I don't-- I went upstairs to my desktop and the new wifi connection was there to choose on the wifi drop down list- I now have a full wifi signal throughout the house while my mobile unit remains in the kitchen. I love it !

It Really Works!
After reading various reviews, I thought I'd pull the trigger and purchase this wireless extender. Although some reviews were negative regarding setup and/or performance, I was able to get this up and running in less than 5 minutes. What I love about this device is that it actually repeats your wireless network signal and extends the signal beautifully.At one end of my house, I utilize a number of Bluetooth devices that include laptops, PCMHI towers, speakers, iPhone, 4K ULTRA Smart TV and sound bar. A tall order for most routers. Although my network is powered by a fiber optic system, my signal has been weak. Forget about streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime, it was buffered Hell! Enter this little gem.Follow the simple, easy to use directions. I chose a spot in the middle of my home and plugged the device with two walls between the router and the extender. After a few seconds, the blue lights come on, signifying that the device is ready. Next, go to your computer and enter the IP Address and login. Find your device's network identifier, listed as "MSRM." There, you will enter your network password. The same password you use for all wireless devices. At once, my wireless status bars went to full signal and I noticed a marked speed improvement. I also sometimes go outside and would lose my signal as soon as I excited my back door. Now, I don't lose the signal wherever I go on my property and beyond! Amazing! I have tried other so-called extenders, all to no avail. I did my research and found this one. Although I am a longtime, experienced techie, having been a Network Administrator, computer builder, etc, I can't disagree more with anyone that says this is too complicated or performs poorly. If your network signal is poor to begin with, you'll get some improvement. But, don't expect say a 5 mps download cap to rocket towards 100mps territory. The device is small, has movable, dual antennas and has a slick, snark look. I highly recommend this product if you have dead zones, want to improve speed but don't want to use a different network key than your router's WPA or don't want to install hard wired Ethernet cable. I was hesitant about buying only one device since I had some real dead zones. But, one device has covered my entire property and then some!
