I bought this for my elderly parents who have trouble switching on/off an old side light in their bedroom. Bought this, connected it to Alexa and it work amazingly straight away. They have found it invaluable. So from that point of view it's great value for money.

Firstly, having read some reviews about connection niggles, I was a little discombobulated about what my experience of using this would be. Yes I used the word discombobulated. I needn’t have been. This was about as simple and as easy as it could have possibly been. It works perfectly to dim my outside festoon lights via Alexa voice controls and now we can set the mood lighting accordingly. Groovy!This is how hard it was:Got the app on my phone. Plug my lights in and turn the gadget on. App finds gadget instantly and asks for WiFi password. Success. Press button on app to link with Alexa. Success. Jump to Alexa app and press ok. Done.I can now ask Alexa to have the lights from 0% - 100%. It. Just. Works.Recommended.

Works as expected, once installed. Like most "smart" products, the install procedure is overcomplicated, and the instructions oversimplified. If you understand how Wi-Fi networks function, there will be few problems. If you don't, and you try to follow the instructions, getting set up is likely to take some time. That's not a failing of this particular product, rather a failing of smart product manufacturers to establish common standards and procedures.

Bought in January 2022....worked OK but stopped working last week without any indication and all my freezer food defrosted....expensive mistake...

Great smart plug with built in dimmer, very easy to pair with existing smartlife app used for multiple other devices controls outdoor led garden lights a treat can even use alexa to control. Quite pricey compared to my other smart plugs but that's probably due to dimming function. Would buy again

So apparently the led bulbs I had were not dimmable however with this plug they do dim from 0 - 100%. Worth the money.

This has been great for making our too-bright LED garden lights dimmable and controllable from indoors, paired with the straight forward Smart Life app. A bit pricier than some others, but the Philips Hue plug needs a further bridge or Hue bulbs for dimming anyway, so you'd end up paying more.

I have many Zigbee devices and am well used to pairing them, but this was a rel pain and I nearly had to give up and return it.However, it works well now - strong signal and reliable.
