i like the small convenience of being able to connect old devices

I bought this a while ago so i could try to record videos from my macbook onto VHS tapes (just for fun) and the adaptor has confused me a little. It works great for displaying a HDMI source (Macbook) through to a VCR (AVI) and when i actually go to hit record on the vcr it works well too. It's only when i go to play back what i recorded that theres issues, where the entire recording is in black and white with no colour at all. Ive tried changing the settings as much as possible but it hasnt changed it. Other than that, if you're for example trying to display a macbook or fire stick onto an old tv it should work completely fine

Bought this in addition to a few other cables (AV Couplers, Non-OEM AMI to RCA cable, USB-C to HDMI cable) to connect my Samsung phone to my MMI in a 2016 Audi A7. I am able to mirror my phone to the display which is what I was aiming for.There's a lot of information online suggesting only the official Audi cable works but this is not the case as a generic cable is working for me at a fraction of the price of the original cable.There was also information online suggesting that the RMC MMI system was not capable of video playback after the facelift but again this doesn't seem to be true as I have a 2016 Facelift Audi A7 with the RMC MMI system and I have it working perfectly, sound comes through the car speakers and I can control it with the volume knob and steering wheel in the car. I need to enable Video in Motion (VIM) to allow mirroring whilst moving faster than 5mph so an OBDeleven adapter and 100 credits are required to enable this feature, I will do this later.Also note that I have this working using a USB-C to HDMI cable without external power source as my phone supports DP-ALT mode through the USB-C. Check online to see if your phone supports this otherwise you will need a USB-C to HDMI adapter with external power to get this working. The HDMI to RCA box requires external power and it came with a short USB-A cable that can be plugged into your car cigarette socket charger that I'm assuming everyone has.Very happy with the setup at the moment, I am planning to buy a fire stick or chromecast to attach to the HDMI to RCA box so that I can mirror any android phone to the car screen.Will update if anything changes.

Does not work, tried it on on two different TVs. Waste of money. Do not buy.

I needed to convert the HDMI output from my Nvidia graphics card to RCA composite so I could record it on my video recorder. I sent for this device and it produced a good quality picture which was not much different from the oricinal HDMI signal. Very simple to use. Just plugin a USB phone charger lead for power, then plug in the supplied HDMI cable between graphics output and the converter, and the AV composite signal is available at the RCA phono terminals. Simples!!

It worked great for around 10 minutes now it won't display anything need to convert hdmi to red white and yellow

Great little gadget. My TV is an old style with only one scart, this has my sky box plugged into which I use as a freesat box. (No longer tied to Sky and it's prices!) I bought this wee box to hopefully enable me to use my Firestick. I had the leads already so only needed a converter. So simple to use. Plugged it all in and now I can watch Iplayer, ITVX, Prime etc with my old TV. Really pleased as it's difficult to get little TVs now. I am a happy shopper.

I wanted this to see if the drop down screen in my imported MPV works, the vehicle has front and rear TV screen that unfortunately only works in Japan, I did watch a YouTube video that the guy used this and his phone to connect via the vehicles RCA ports and using RCA cables.The unit is quite inexpensive so worth in my case the risk of the system not working, it was simple to connect up, just all plug and play, although I had the problem that my phone did not seem to like connecting to the unit, so at the moment it's still an on going project, watch this space.
