The Wifi module is internet capable on my network.ConsInstructions did not have the correct IP address, and setup instructions. If you want more of a smart home feature where you can control it from a smartphone, or tablet look at another brand.

I'm using this for my 3M home thermostat. Worked fine last winter, I'm having problems now with the thermostst not working, but it could possibly be my internet, I'm not sure. I'll update when I get help from 3M. I know for a fact it saved me $ last winter, and when the weather got bad mid-day, it was AWESOME coming home to a cozy house!
