Speaker Stand for Amazon Echo, Echo Plus, UE Boom and Other Models - Protect and Stabilize Alexa by Wasserstein (Blue)

I purchased this holder to hold a UE Boom speaker. Not an Alexa. The description says it holds the UE boom so thats what this review is based on.I have read through many of the 5 Star rating comments and I would agree with the fact that it does what it says. It makes it harder for your device to tilt over. I would agree, that that is the ultimate purpose of anything anyone truly spends their hard earned money on, right? We just want things to work.That being said, I am a stickler for descriptions as they can sometimes be a bit misleading or unclear. As I look back over all the photos, I should have realized that this holder, like many does not take into consideration the plug of the UE boom, although the plug is not an issue for Alexa. The boom's plug is located on the bottom of the device, so to have it plugged in, the device must come out of the stand, which can become a hassle to take out to charge and put back in. I am going to the local hardware store to rig the stand to hold the UE boom higher than the base so that the plug can stay in while in the stand.For this reason, I have to rate it lower. I will update with photos once I have made adjustments if I can.Updated 1.22.19Without spending a ton of time on this project I purchased some magnets and flat brackets to raise the Boom about an inch higher than it would normally be. It now provides enough clearance for the boom power cable below. I spray painted the entire unit to reduce the look.Overall rating will stay the same

This holder is not only attractive but makes Echo stand tall and sturdy. We have batteries on our two devices and found that you need to take the battery off, insert it sideways and then straighten and make sure the on/off button has cleared the bottom ring and that the power cord spot is lined up with the open slot in the ring. This was not hard (I watched my husband do this and I was not tired when he got done) once we figured how to line up the power access and not have the on/off button behind the bottom ring. I would definitely recommend this product. Our white devices, black batteries look great.

This is a really nice looking stand for the price. Seems to be built sturdy and I like the metal rods that hold the plastic pieces together. Feels like quality material. Also, the blue color looks really nice with the white Echo (and I'm guessing it would look good with the black one too). Only thing that I wish they would have done is make the gap that the wire has to go thru smaller and maybe square the ends off as opposed to having them rounded (gap is there so you can slide the echo into the stand). I think the illusion of having the plastic rings look complete would look real nice.

After Alexa took a dive off the edge of a counter, with a little help from my cat (the Duke). I decided to look into a base for Alexa. This looked like it would fit the "Bill", "Alexa". She gets mad and doesn't speak to me when I call her Bill. The base seamed to arive as soon as I hit purchase! The base looks sturdy/well built. And it does seam to give Alexa a little more stability. I would purchase again.

Right off Amazon's webpage, and out of the box, I knew I was going to love this item. The Cobalt Blue color and the overall futuristic style transform Alexa into a useful piece of decor.I noticed, however, that when I inserted my Alexa, the Amazon logo was truncated (see left portion of attached photo). This is a minor issue, but it offended my general sense of orderly symmetry. I carefully placed a bottle cap inside to act as a "riser," and I like the resulting appearance much better(see right portion of the attached photo).

Arrived when scheduled. No scratches, pretty blue matches the spinning ring when Alexa talks to you. I especially like that the tubes are finished off nicely at the top. Some of the others I have seen just look like screw heads! I like that it makes my new gadget friend a bit more stable as she goes thru her tasks. It's nice they considered the power cord with the special design on the backside & it also has pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide or scratch the furniture! I have a black Alexa & it looks good. I've already called my brother & told him that his white Echo would look stunning in this!

Just got this in the mail. Looks good but there is no weight at all to this item. Not sure it helps that much more for stability. Not really a tight fit for the Echo. It can wobble while inside the stand. Probably does not matter I guess. There is a scratch on the middle acrylic ring about 3/4 in long. Finger print smudges all over the top ring. Spent about 5 min with some alcohol and water to clean it up. Maybe it was a previous return. It came wrapped loosely in a plastic bag. If there are going to be scratches and smudges on something they need to be made by me. Not on something I just opened, that makes me a little miffed. I may return it.Not sure I like the idea of people getting paid to write their reviews on Amazon.

Chris, let me start off by saying that I love, love the color. Blue is my favorite and this was perfect. Larger than was expected which was another wonderful surprise. Many times I have found that items tend to be distorted when they are advertised. I have this sitting on my night table which is a black lacquer and the blue sets it off. I will probably order another. Thank you again Chris.

Don't buy this if you own a first generation model 'Echo Plus' as the middle (lower) plastic support ring of the stand (I received recently) fouls either inserting the power supply connector or in plugging an auxiliary lead into the Echo when placed into the stand.Obviously their quality control is very poor, as a simple functional check to ensure that the connection points were not being fouled by the middle plastic support ring would have quickly shown them that this ring was in the wrong place (by some 4mm) . As I thought the rings were all a 'friction fit' ,I thought that maybe I could slide it up out of the way . So I tried to move the ring up bit in order to allow me to connect my Echo Plus whilst sitting in the stand , but the plastic ring in question was totally rigid and unfortunately I ended up cracking the plastic ring at point where it met the adjacent vertical support pillar. All in all a real disappointment. wont be buying anything else from this company .

I do love it. Though it does not glow electric blue unless there is a light shining on it. I thought that it would light up like the picture showed. It holds the Amazon Echo perfectly, so I do feel that it cannot be knocked over easily. It is smart looking.

Good product . Steady and attractive in design. One fault, there is no anti slip on stand. Suggest it is resigned with this add on. Then 5 starsWould buy again .

Looks great, and is one of those things you don't know you need until you've seen it.You pay a lot of money for an echo, why would you not protect it?
