Our 12+ year old German Shepherd didn't mind too terribly when we moved to a house with a fully paved yard, at least until her feet slipped out from under her mid squat. Tried to find just the turf as we didnt need the tray but oh well. Through spring/summer we had both grass pads out side by side and they worked perfectly, she had the traction to keep on her feet, an incentive to go in one specific place, and it was easy to keep clean with a daily hose-off and weekly "deep clean" with the recommended enzyme cleaner (which will be bought again bc yay no pee stink!) And thanks to the old lady's fussy GI tract I can confidently say even diarrhea was easy to clean. Now that the freeze is coming the grass has been ultra cleaned and hung over the fence to dry so we can roll it up (with loads of baking soda) for next year as it's still in great condition. Oh and that massive tray with drainage inserts we didn't need? Turns out it's a fantastic boot tray for a house of five adults with massive feet.Tl;dr the dog likes the grass and so do we, would buy again

bought for our oldest rabbit to rest on during his final weeks after a few years of suffering "floppy bunny" disease rendering his back legs less mobile , worked great to prevent him from sitting in a wet pool of pee , elevating the majority of his body on the artificial grass . Since then our other rabbits have used it as a poop tray and i believe a scent marking spot as i have not seen anything since elsewhere , although this could be just because we only have 1 male now so he has no need to be territorial
