Q: Is the hat still sunproof when the cover is removed?

Yes...I prefer the little snap on cover off....wear it 4 days a week in the blistering summer Vegas sun. Good little hat

Q: If it's breezy, will the brim blow up or stay stiff enough to protect your face, neck, and ears from the sun?

I've never actually worn the hat when it's been breezy, but I can tell you that the brim is pretty stiff and I don't think it would curl up or flop around in a breeze.

Q: Would this fit a 27" head circumferance? Yes, I have a big head :-)

My husband's head is 23". The light gray was too tight, but the khaki fit. A little inconsistent in the sizing, but it seems like 27" would be too much of a stretch.

Q: What is the fiber content?

Don't know for sure ad it's not listed on hat. I would say it's Rayon or Nylon as it melts if you iron it with to high a heat setting.
