Just brillant
I am a positive psychologist, I use tools in my coaching practice and for myself and this journal is amazing. The structure of the daily information and prompts are simple and easy to follow with impactful results. It’s the best thing I’ve come across for ACT to create changes in your life. Use it, you won’t regret it.

A journey with a beautiful flow & structure
Five stars – absolute kudos to Diana and Debbie – this book is an absolute delight. It takes the reader on a journey which has a beautiful flow and structure. The placement & presentation of the science and the exercises is enormously skilled and insightful.A standout feature for me is the stories that Diana and Debbie share from their own lives which really build the connection with the reader and made it both personal and identifiable for me. It’s written in such a way that it helps the reader recognise the complexity of our human existence and practical steps we can take to develop our own psychological flexibility. Awesome work.I was fortunate to receive an advance copy of the book from Diana Hill in advance of a podcast interview for the People Soup Podcast.

Different Than I Thought but Good
I used this product as a guided journal to add to my large set of guided journals. I know that my current therapist uses ACT, and I had a New Harbinger OCD book from my mom from years ago, so I thought these New Harbinger journals would be good.It is different than I thought. I don't know why I thought this, but I thought it would be heavily weighted towards journaling, but there is actually more to read than I thought, but that actually makes sense because you need to learn ACT to be able to write about using it. The authors are the two hosts of the podcast Psychologists Off the Clock, which I did not know before buying the book. They talk about their own experiences throughout the book. It is divided into 8 7-day weeks. You start with chapter one, and at the end of chapter one, they tell you to go to whatever chapter you want next.Every day has about a page to read, a journal prompt related to the day's reading, a related activity to practice now, an "ACT in My Life" section that has more space to journal, and then "Today's Practice", which is something to do either one time or throughout your day.I don't like that they assume that you are doing this journal first thing in the day, because I never do.I'm not sure it's going to help me use ACT all the time, but I guess it's at least an introduction, and I do appreciate some of the readings. Oh, and each chapter also has an introduction as well as the whole book.

The most important book ever
I've bought this for all my friends and recommended it to countless more, including people I peer-support. It is simple to follow and really gives you massive insight, as well as enabling you to make small changes that make a huge difference. As long as you pick it up every single day (even if you don't write in it every day).

Lots of small daily practices to try out!
The ACT Daily Journal basically is an 8-week course on applying the concepts of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) in daily life. Each week covers a different theme/core process. For each day, there are journaling suggestions, prompts for reflection and daily practices.I really liked the length of the daily chapters and the overall sequence of the themes/topics - starting with self-compassion, then going through the core ACT processes and ending with a week on integrating the content of the past weeks while also taking a broader perspective.I am not new to ACT and I could still take away new insights from this book. I can definitely see myself going back to it from time to time. It might also be interesting for therapists looking for exercises and suggestions for their clients.
