Works intermittently and response varies when it does work. Waste of money.

I do not like this trend i am seeing. People getting a product for free or at a discounted price for their honest review. This product has by far the most i have ever seen in any other. Some may actually do an honest review but i would like to see an actual customer, in the true sense of the term, to do the review. Just Saying.

I bought this active stylus specifically for the purpose of being able to take handwritten notes in class on my tablet. I enjoy the capability of being able to send the powerpoints for my lectures to Onenote and being able to annotate either directly on the slide or off to the margin. While typing these notes generally suffice, I found that there were times when it would be easier to write/draw the notes, which is very difficult using a trackpad or a mouse on a laptop or a finger or regular stylus on my tablet. After watching friends with surfaces or ipad pros and their respective pens, I figured I should try to find a good stylus for my tablet that was fine point and preferably active since they were supposed to perform better.I found this stylus after searching for active styli that are compatible with android. Based on the overall ratings, it seemed like this would be a good choice. Even more so, I thought I may not have to spend a huge chunk of change on a higher end tablet.When my stylus arrived it was packaged nicely. After inserting the battery, I was able to use it right away. There is a button at the top you push much like you would an ink pen. This turns the stylus on an it will work immediately with any tablet/smartphone. I began playing around with it and was able to click icons to launch apps as well as select links with ease. However, when I tried writing with this, there were flaws. There were numerous breaks in the lines of letters/words I had written, some so bad that I could not make out what it was supposed to say. I thought it was possible that my screen was dirty, but still had the same problem. I also was not able to draw straight lines like you would if you were highlighting, underlining, or drawing something. Since these were the tasks I wanted to able to do with this stylus, I ended up returning it. While I was by no means expecting a stylus as advanced as the pencil for the ipad pro or the pen for the surface, I did expect some more functionality from this stylus.Ultimately, this was not for me based on what I was looking for, however, if you are looking for a stylus that will give you more precision than your finger or one of those wide styli that are so common these days, then you might want to consider this.

I would give this a ten. But once the rubber tip becomes torn , which eventually happens to all styluses it doesnt sell replacement tips. Im not sure if another brand does, or if the rubber tips by other makers will fit properly. Im not going to keep buying a brand new one everytime the rubber tip deteriorates , which true you get a spare, but the company should sell replacement tips so the pen does not become useless, and i loved the precision of the pen so it was a major disappointment that after searching far and wide that the company doesnt sell rubber replacement tips. Other companies sell them and with the size it is possible it just doesnt fit, so it goes into the landfill of other bad styluses, where styluses go to die , so disapointed
